The real answer to your poll, is to buy whichever one is in stock. If they all are, then flip a coin...![]()

How the hell is a coin toss going to settle it if all three are in stock?
I would suggest eenie...meenie...mynie...moe.... catch a kimber by the toe

We're all nattering uselessly here. Its done here day in and day out...
Truth is, you'd be hard pressed to find a cartridge from .25 on up that won't kill everything in NA. The only issue is factory ammo selection for a .257bob, and if you reload there is no issue...

I voted 257 Roberts, mainly because you can now get 80 grain Tipped Triple Shock X bullets which you can shoot at about 3400 fps. That will work just fine me thinks
as for 7-08 vs 308, they both suck - get a 260 or 338F if you want improvments on either end![]()
Simple, you toss 3 coins, odd one wins. Not that it matters, cause no shop will have all three in stock on the day he calls/visits. If they do, buy a lottery ticket too.![]()

.270 or .280. are "mountain" rifle calibers. 7mm-08 is a "wannabe" cartridge.![]()

so if you check hodgdons manuel the testing of the 7mm08 was done with a carbine with an 18.5 inch barrel
I had your exact choice to make this year for my sheep hunt - only my gun safes cover the range of calibers and cartridges including the ones you list. I could have taken any of the choices that the posters here have mentioned and many more. My choice was one of my 308s.
