According to the North Silva Dealer Catalogue it stated up to 80% parts compatibility with other AR-15 rifles in the literature provided to dealers at North Silvas recent supplier Day they held.

80% that doesn't even make any sense. Parts should be 100% interchangeable.
Saw a thread on these a couple of months back on arfcom, didn't look too bad.
Hope the barrels are hammer forged like that post said, that would be fantastic. Wonder what steel they use, 4140, 4150?
$1650 doesn't sound too bad, not the way things are going these days.

I second this, for this price you'd might as well buy a new Sabre Defence XR-15 and have a rifle that is put together "the best of the AR's". When spending that kind of money, don't cheap out. Buy something with a recognizable name from one of the major AR builders.

The stole pictures from Colt's old website - and airbrushed the US SOPMOD posters, not to mention the Training section of their website...
I would be curious on who's TDP they designed these guns - a $1650 AR that does not run is $1650 you could have put towards a Colt or LMT (or better yet KAC)

All I can find out is that Imperial Defence Services is more or less a small arms broker/dealer, run by a person named Mick Ranger. Mick Ranger was pretty "famous" because he was the guy who sold the "infamous" AK that led to the UK semi ban. It looks like they had been in the "arms" business for a long time as "middleman", who runs around trying to buy stuff and sell stuff. Their headquarter is described as a white farm house in Essex.
They don't seem to make stuff themselves - they outsource production to someone else, or somehow locate them. Their 1911 are made in Vietnam that's one thing I found out. I also think they supplied the US dealers with magazines for the SA80 which were released into the US market, after UK mod bought into the HK mags. ( I guess they bought them off UK MOD, swap out the magzine plates and sold them to US importer) An article search also indicated that they attempted to purchase 150,000 magazines ( I guess that will be Galil's|) off Columbia at one point but failed.
