Lionhill, Thanks so much for doing the video and editing. Big work.
Why not just post the clip of Troutseeker and those rascally clays????
He likely will not mind.....

!!
Got a quiet afternoon so headed up to look and measure some targets.
LRC, Congratulations, you did hit that survey stake at 1550yds!!!!!
You just caught an edge and likely knocked the stake over too (?). There were lots of impact craters nearby so you were very close many times. SWAG about 6 to 8" across. Nice shooting in the winds.
If you look at the extreme range pasture, you can see the really big lone pine tree on the right side. Go left and there is a short pine tree that looks like a Qtip more or less in the center of the pasture. That ranges at 2.13km (2339yds).
If you go left a bit and back, there is a scrawny tree. This ranges at 2.17km (2385yds). Not alot of difference as the crow flies.
I don't remember which rocks you guys were shooting at as there were a few between these two trees. At least you have a ballpark range now.
The 'mile rock' ranges in at a tasty 2.36km (2592yds). That we most certainly will have to target next year!
All distances ranged with a GPS so there is some room for measurement error.
Speaking of the mile rock, I went to see if the 80gr Amax had left any marks. I happy to say, it most certainly did.
There were two clusters, one in the center and one on the right. This agrees with the video footage. Each cluster had a few hits in it and were under 2" across.
The CtoC of the clusters was 7" apart with almost no difference in vertical.
I am thrilled that I have a group of sorts at 1 mile with my 223.
Unless there are more pics, this pretty much wraps up the event.
Looking forward to next year already.
The format will change with Sat at the flat and the 'short' distances and Sunday shooting extreme range.
We now have a clear spot and nice large rock at almost 2600yds. If we really want to get creative we might even be able to reach out a bit further.
I know I will be trying to get out to 2600yds as soon as I can build in more UP.
Jerry

I'm sure early in the new year Mystic start finding out about interest and discuss dates that the majority will be able to make.
