Russian SKS45 long thread.

Well gents, Christmas came early. Just picked up my three Tula carbines, a 1953, 1954, and 1955 in unissued condition and as new. They are absolutely beautiful. Very light storage marks on the stock from shipping them in the crate. They come with all new accessories including sling, oil bottle, pouch, 4stripper clips, clip pouch and multitool. Brand spanking new! Well worth the wait...

I saw another brand new 1953 Tula that had just been purchased. The owner had already instructed the store to change the stock and tap it for a scope! Thought I was going to cry.

Please don't Bubba these rare unissued carbines. Wait for a refurb to mess with if you really have to.

yes, like i said $279 is a damn good price for new.

Drove up to Ellwood Epps this morning and picked up one of the Ruskies. What a nice rifle. It has been fired a few times, but otherwise new and no re-furb. squer either. Hadn,t seen any of them before, even on the Gun Broker. They all seem to be 1954. The difference with Norincos is surprising.... day and night. Should have picked two.....damn! No string or other accessories though! Should I call them?

Just called them and they are mailing the accessories to me at no cost. Nice people there at Ellwood Epps. Know how to take care of their customers so they would drive two hours up north (pass by Bass Pro!) to by from them.

I went down to EPPS this morning :)

I bought 2 SVT40's and 3 Russian SKS's and an XCS REM Marine Magnum 2 crates of 762x39 and 3 crates of 762x54 , Snap caps , a toque and a knife :D And an SKS Crate

What a hoot :)

did you leave any for me D? i bet not .:p

I know you did Norseman, I was there! You basically emptied the store! I didn,t see you getting your accessories for your SKS,s either. Did you? If not, give them a call.

I forgot to add I gotta wait to pick them up, as they were directed to the CFO? for verification I guess, Oh well I might grab another SVT and SKS while Im down there next Saturday MUHUHAHAHA

hey!! how come rchmontreal said he picked up his ? maybe something wrong with your order , maybe yours will be auctioned to the highest bidder. :p

Yep…It was me Nors. I did walk away with my SKS but before registering it, they told me some registrations do not go through and may take a few days. Mine went through but apparently yours didn’t. Maybe the size of your purchase gave the RCMP guys a mini heart attack! :D But seriously, they are just trying to justify their salary.

As of tonight, Epps apparently has two of the non-rebuilt ones left with 10 more to come. After that, I was told, there is a shipment of some re-built ones coming in.

Can somebody give us some extra info on these 1954 Non-rebuilt ones? Are they common? Yours truly is thinking of picking up another one for collection. :dancingbanana:
