Russian SKS45 long thread.

if you guys cancel now , in a year or two you will be kicking yourselves .

this kind of a deal may not come again (if i was an importer , the headache wouldnt be worth it) .

i really dont want to change your minds bcos that will ensure i get both of mine .:)

True but if I can still get in on this other deal (pistol on the EE) and I dont I'll kick myself later:p I suppose seeing as the sks wont be here until after christmas I could wait and see how much $$ Ive got. I was going to order a DA outlaw, I supposw theres no rush for that, and I could use that cash for the EE deal. BUT I WANT THEM ALL NOW *makes pouting face*

I'm starting to want to cancel as well... so I can use that money towards something else. The only thing stopping me is that I know I'm going to regret it after when they actually get shipped out... considering how hard these things have proven to get, I wouldn't be surprised if these are the last Russian SKSs we'll be getting for a long time.

I got an email back from Frontier, the first batch got rejected (at inspections im assuming) so Marlin expects the second batch to arrive at his shop early January. The second batch is in Canada.

Why is it so hard to disconnect the mags and send them in for a pinning job separately? I doubt the mags are serial-matched to these rifles anyway, so it doesn't matter... I'd want my rifle to be shipped like that, I really don't mind... I'll pay twice for shipping to get the mags at a later time (the mag is small + light anyway, so it's cheap to ship). For the time being, I'd simply buy a NORC 5/30 round mag and clip it to the SKS and be ready to go. I just don't see why anyone in their right mind would ship crates of rifles around for a pinning job on a detachable mag! It's not a rant against the importers, but rather against the CFC (yet again).

I have to say though, the CFC is reaching new levels of nonsense... How can a pinning job be "rejected"? It's just a freakin rivet that stops the follower not to go beyond 5 rounds capacity. Seriously, WTF? Someone deserves to be b*tch-slapped over there (at CFC).

They should be serial matched and they're not 'detachable' magazines. Even my norc matches everything serial wise.
