Rimfire Pics...Show em off!!!

cz452shooter you should really buy some decent gear if you want to be taken seriously.

:p

Lets have some info/specs on the bottom 2.

:D

Well the top one is a feinwerkbau model 700 air rifle. It is intented for Olympic style 10m air rifle shooting. Extremely high quality and very accurate. I shoot it mainly at 10m (where it will shoot basically true one hole groups all day). I have had it shoot at 25 yards once and it did preatty well (shot a couple 5 shot groups and they were around 1/4" range).

Next one is a feinwerkbau model 2700 smallbore .22lr rifle. Again, very high quality and made for the Olympic style 3p and prone type shooting. out of the box they are extremely accurate. I was looking on the Eley website yesterday and noticed that the record groups at their test facilities were held by a feinwerkbau 2700. Both of these guns though are highly adjustable so you can get the gun to fit perfectly to you.

Elimsprint, what reflex sight do you have on that 10/22? is it a name brand one or a cheaper one? I was thinking of getting a cheaper one, but want to know if anyone has even tried them yet.

It's the cheapy chinese, don't waste your money:mad: I got 2 for real cheap, $40CAN shipped and they're still a rip. 1st one worked for a week and second doesn't hold aim when you change reticles and green only works part time

Bsa

Picked these two up off the EE over the last several months and rapidly becoming favorites. Recently added the target scope to the MK111 and to say the least it's a tack driver.

BSA International MKV with target Parker Hale peeps.

BSA International MK111 with Litschert 12X scope.

True Canadian Rimfire

IF YOU'RE TALKING TRULY CANADIAN-MADE, here's one of my only two Canadian rimfires. I THINK I've shown it on similar previous photo threads here on CGN, but not sure.

This is a .22rf TOBIN single-shot boys rifle. It remains a mystery to me in many ways.

Top of the barrel shows it made in Woodstock, Ontario by Tobin Arms. This company which began in Connecticut, moved to Woodstock when purchased by a group of Canadian investors. I've found nothing in the company catalogs or ads to indicate they ever marketed this little gun.

However, here's a copy of an ad for it in the 1917 Rod & Gun In Canada magazine, also HQd in Woodstock.

I'm unable to find any other info. I talked with one gent in Ontario who once owned four of them, none of his had the same firing pin configuration as this little guy's block form, rather than round. In this ad they refer to it as a, "$5 Boy Scout Rifle."

UPDATE OF TOBIN INFO: I've found the needed documentation for the full story about the Tobin Boy Scout Rifle. It came from early copies of Rod And Gun in Canada and the story will be published in the upcoming 2012 Edition of Gun Digest. Watch for it. ~ ~ ~ mauser
