You get what you pay for...

Think of what the average Chinese lineworker salary was in the 50's. Now recoil as you pay $99 for what they probably spent under 2 hours on. $50/hr for work done way back in the 50's, hey it MUST be good!

With the kind of quality you'd expect by paying that much, I had no other choice but to buy one.

Ok, I know this is pathetic, but last night I woke up thinking about this pistol (or, the two of them shoud I say), and had a hard time falling asleep again, bacause I was visualizing myself going to the range with both of them.

Kind of like thinking about a threesome.

Sorry I just had to share. TMI, maybe... :)

I hope CanAm's shipment won't be like those mythical Russian SKS'es...

:D

Colin, what make is the ammo? It looks like reloads on top?
Mags; The first Tokarev I ordered from Marstar came with two mags. The second time I put an order in it was for two Tok pistols. In this order, one blue Norinco box had a mag in the pistol and one in the Styrofoam cut-out for it. The second box had one mag in the pistol and two mags in the Styrofoam cut-out.The boxes were different only in that the Styrofoam cut-outs were different.

I belive it is Czech, brass case but Berden primed.

I bought the 7.62 tok for $179 last year. Its alot of fun. My hands are a bit too big for it, but mine can shoot pretty accurately. The finish on mine is crap and it's edges sharp. But the slide to frame fit is super tight.

Really? Mine shoots patterns not groups.

I think I need a new barrel for it.

It is fun to shoot, ans a great gun to have to let a new shooter, show them all the safety aspects and drop a few hundred round for them at the cost of jack sh!t. They had fun got to shoot a nice powerful gun until there head hurt, it gets the "I want to bast away like in the movies" feel out of the way so you can show them the right way.

Ordered another Arrg!

Couldn't stop myself from ordering a second one. I like the idea of having a dueling set. Now I just have to make the box out of old pallet wood with wire hinges :) & line it with straw. Sure hope they brought in enough to satisfy the demand.

My first handgun

Ordered my first handgun today, couldn't resist it, for only $99 its a good entry.

I ordered late I think compared to everyone else, so hopefully I get one.

Ordered two just now as I just got my RPAL a couple of days ago! I think it's great that importers such as CanadaAmmo do their best to bring in the very foundation of our hobby for such a cheap price. That way we can shoot cool stuff and still keep the other bills paid. Thanks and keep up the good work!

P.S. Here's what some guy has to say about the performance of this gun (on another forum). I think getting that thing nickel-plated on the outside would look awesome! Check it out...

And here's a pretty complete review of this here Norinco 213:

All in all, reviews are good and I'm glad I ordered two of these bad boyz. I just hope CanadaAmmo will have enough stock to ship on all orders and that I don't end up being too far in line to get my two babies. An excellent deal... and priced in the true spirit of ComBlock firearms, lol.

I've been reading this thread for a while now and It's killing me. I have my restricted Pal (but not much $$) and have not yet purchased anything restricted. I live in Queebek and I understand that I have to hold a membership at a gun range in order to own a handgun. Not to hijack but does anyone here have a cost effective way to fulfill this requirement?

If you want, you could sign up at the Pte-Claire shooting club... it is a very small operation that allows you to fire only .22LR handguns, plus it's open like 2 days a week for 3 hours or so... BUT... it does qualify as a gun club, so it should be allright for RPAL transfer purposes.

Why don't you call them and ask? It should be fairly cheap to become a member there. Look them up, they're on the St-Jean boulevard, near Hwy 20.

Personally, I signed up to CTVSP and it's looking promising, although not cheap. It's 270$ with tax/year + there's another 80$ to shell out for a training course in order to use the range (new CFO rules, apparently). Other 'real' clubs on the island are said to cost even more. Pte-Claire should be cheap because it's VERY limited both in opening hours and in shooting possibilities they offer. Good luck!

It's all very well to join a .22 handgun range to get your restricted ATT, but where is he going to shoot his 9mm cheapie? I don't see that he's any further ahead, unless there are some good guest rates at other ranges.

I remember when the Pointe Claire Shooting club was at Stewart Hall. Nice place. I'll give them a shout after X-mas, thanks for the tip.

I think they've moved... I was told they're on St-Jean right now, although the info may be wrong. Anywho, they're still around and have a website. Check it out! ;)

In his basement... using a thick log as a target trap and an empty 2L Pepsi bottle for a silencer.
