Russian SKS45 long thread.

Finally took my Epps SKS to the range. Originally intended to shelve it and wait for my Frontier and SIR orders to come through, but..... couldn't take it anymore!;)

My first SKS, but what a sweet shooter! Easy on rookies like me. Managed to put 50 rounds through it before the dark, no hick ups. Amazing, guys with very expensive looking sniper rifles would walk to take a look at this little, old $270 Ruski. I guess I now have a shooter. No regrets...:ar15:

still no pic?

This is the worst time for them to come... I don't have the 169.99 + tax + shipping anymore. I was prepared to wait until summer, I guess on the visa it goes... No way am I cancelling though.

With the change in the dollars value since SIR first advertised these rifles I'll believe the "169.99 + tax + shipping" part when I actually see my credit card bill.

SIR's price was from when they were selling Chinese SKS's & our dollar was about were it is today . They had back orders on the Chinese SKS" which they were going to substitute the Russian ones for . & offer what was left to new orders at the same price . Of coarse the new orders are back orders also . so if you didn't order one last yr I doubt you will see them advertised at that price now . as a mater of fact SIR no longer even advertises them but say they will fill the back orders .

thats right.

if any left over from the $169 due to cancellation (which i doubt) , they will probably bump those to $200 .

You really have to embarrass me don't you? I have never done it before, but I will give it a try.

not my intention . just email your pic and i will post it on your behalf .

your order with frontier is for non-refurb . i would have kept the SIR refurb for shooting .

Yep. I'm well aware of that. My frontier SKS will be my shooting rifle, the one i have at the moment might never be taken out for a shoot... I'm still thinking about it.

I cancelled my SIR order cause the Frontier one got here first.. and I don't need a 3rd SKS.

not advisable to shoot a non-refurb , but hey, its your money .

Dumb question: the hand selects are refurbs right? Cuz i intend on shooting it!

frontier is getting 80 non-refurb , like epps sold ($279) some that unfired and some are fired . i recommend not shooting the non-refurb/unfired ones .

you can shoot the non-refurb/fired ones if you wish .

if you really want to shoot then i would recommend a shooters grade for $200 at frontier.
