Iver Johnson's STAR VEST POCKET
Back in the late 1800s Iver Johnson (the founder of the company which bears his name) was making a tiny .22rf single shot pistol. It's estimated that only a few thousand of his Star Vest Pocket were produced from 1870 to 1890. According to W.E. Goforth, author of several books on the I.J Co., this little guy is made even more rare by the fact it has the name stamped on it. Most were unmarked.
I stumbled across it at an online auction in Georgia back in June and managed to snag it, delivered to my door, for well under $100.00! It works and only flaw is each rosewood grip has a tiny sliver missing from the back of the grip. It's a cute one!
