Russian SKS45 long thread.

Now it'd be great if we could secure some bulk non corrosive ammunition...

As long as it goes bang I'm happy . Corrosive ammo is not as bad as many make it out to be , Unless your to lazy to clean you firearm after a day shooting , Non corrosive would be nice but will never match the price of the surplus stuff .
Can't wait to start in on my tracer ammo wile the snow is still on the ground

I hate corrosive ammo and I'm a gun cleaning nazzie. I won't be shooting this sks that comes but I might buy a shooters grade later on for hitting the range... Got tons of brass reloadable 7.62x39.

Good morning all, wow, another 12 pages since I checked in last night! We need a chat room I think. I can honestly say that we'll hit 3000 posts until we see or hear anything from SIR. I have a little hope for finding a Russian SKS at the Montreal gun show this Saturday, who knows?!

You will find some old beat up ones that the cpl. regular sellers have not been able to unload because they are always asking insane prices. I won't give any names, but I am sure you will see that guy selling a beat up Norc with a $70 fiber stock for $400. What a great deal

I can't believe there isn't a Russian in the EE yet . I can see it now .

"Rare Russian SKS rifle mint condition , Sought after by collectors world wide "
Only $850
---------------- Yes, #1bcshooter, , --- I believe your right, we will be seeing a Lot of That !!!!!
-- is it just me or is this site really Slow tonight ???? --- but then , I,m on Dail Up !!!!!!!!!

The post whoring that has occurred within these last 500 plus posts has been epic.
I don't recall seeing a thread on CGN like this SKS saga before.
And the fat lady just left the dressing room.

Checking this thread has become part of the daily ritual to review the frenzy over these damn SKS's.
It's been a pain and a joy to be part of, and it's all curttons fault :D

--- Hey, --- there you go !!!! ------- thats the reason, I Miss Her !!!!!

aaaaah , its true love . :D

Picked up an SKS (laminate refurb) with case of ammo from Milarm Edmonton today. In the last couple of days, they have sold over 75 of the 200 that they brought in. The guys behind the counter didn't know much about the rifles, and the pricing seemed to be all out of whack. When I called yesterday, the guy I spoke with told me their "top of the line" sold for $225. When I got there, there was another customer there with 2 e-mails from Milarm with two difference prices (one for $275, and the other for $300). The lowest rifle was selling for $200 and the top looked like it was going for $275. I paid $250 for mine. Oh well, they probably haven't had much time to get their act together considering the demand is so heavy for these rifles...and communication amongst the staff does normally seem to be an issue over there.

Mine has a matching stock and receiver, but the rest looks electroplated. ( CAVEAT...I don't know much about this stuff, whatever I learned was on this thread!!) ;)

Anyway, I finally got one, and I can't wait to try it out...now I just have to wait for the Frontier order and the SIR order.
