Got my SKS!!! (Pics Up)

Jesus, can you tell me why companies make rifles such as Kimber, Sako or CZ that can cost upwards of $1500 to $2000 new. You dont think it would be crazy to take such a rifle on a hunt for deer, elk or moose would ya??

By your reasoning we would all be running around the woods with old beat to hell Husqvarna rifles, just happy that they are allready in $hit condition incase it happens to rain.

I was asking if Russian or Yugoslavian SKS's existed in mint or brand new condition. To grill the hell outta someone for asking such a question seems to me like you spend way too much time on the "world wide web" yourself. Are you one of those guys that posts idiotic statements on youtube and then runs and hides never to be heard of again??

Im done with this garbage, I will try to find what I am after on my own, thanks to those that have offered some usefull information to my questions.

A shooter's grade SKS will perform same as the hand-select grades, I guarentee you. The reason people are questioning you is because you're not making sense.

Would you buy a brand new house for partying in? Or would you buy a party shack, best suited to what you need it for? It's a fitting analogy. You ask for help, then you don't want it.

Get over yourself :)

Using the brand newly manufactured rifle anology, just don't cut it compared to a collectable Mil-Surp for your intended purposes. Those old well used Husqvarnas are still better than most of the new stuff you can buy today. But then you'd probably disagree on that point. Never ran into anyone that had trouble with a HVA until you.

Please allow me to put this as simple and as plain as possible then:

I WANT A "HAND PICKED QUALITY" OR "LIKE NEW" OR "MINT" RUSSIAN SKS-45 OR YUGO M59 WITH BIRCH HARDWOOD AND BLUED METAL.

Do not tell me that it would be crazy to ask for such a rifle and then go and shoot it, I am not a collector. I want the best looking and shooting rifle possible.

Anyone that knows of a place that still has IZH shipment SKS-45's and can get "handpicked" refurbs or any guarentee that the rifle is in the best possible condition outta their shipment please let me know.

Yes but do those Husqvarna rifles look the same as a Kimber or Sako???

Ok, I am not getting anywhere with this, I do value your information here and wondered if you can answer some questions.

Are all of the "Bell" shipment rifles painted metal? Where are these Re-Furbs done, Russia or at the Bell company? When a rifle is refurbished what parts are likely to be replaced? Could it have a new barrel, bolt, magazine?? Have you seen any of these paint jobs, are they done well??

Yes, I have read your sticky and I wanna thank you for the effort it musta taken to do that. I am sorry for sounding like an ass here guys but I just wanna make sure I get the best possible SKS for the money.

I have taken what you guys have said into account and ordered a Russian SKS-45 from Frontier (Bell Shipment). I realize that I am contradicting myself in asking for blued metal and then ordering from the BELL shipment.

My thoughts are if I am after the best possible condition rifle I have missed it with the IZH shipment, they are either long gone or what is left and not picked due to being too beaten up.

So my shooter/hunter/plinker will be from the bell shipment and should be here in a week or two. Heres hoping it is in great shape!!! Cheers

You will not have any problems with the SKS. Years down the road, you will certainly not be unhappy with your purchase.

Enjoy your rifle :)

Hey I just got mine from Milarm -- 1 day -- laminated, painted, very very good condition - I think I may have prefered the non-painted version but whatever, I will see what they shoot like.

A new experience to come...

damn thing is short tho for a tall guy
