Yes, I would recognize brother Elmer anywheres:D

anywheres?? Your really Daffy Duck aren't you. Maybe that's why you have problems with the "quote tags". It's that big bill of yours getting in the way. Causes you to stutter.

Daffy Duck had a lisp. Porky Pig stuttered.

There is something fitting about the shift of this thread into Looney Tunes.

Looney pretty much sums up an 8 gauge, 12" Norinco sxs.

I would not expect an easterner to understand anywheres:D I would expect you to know that Daffy and Bugs alway bested the Fudster.

Please stop crapping all over my thread with your trash talking about a brand name of a gun, a gun, a gauge of gun, a length of barrel of a gun, what people want to do with a gun.

Please stop.

If it was cheap enough for me to convince myself to buy one, it would be too cheap for me to convince myself to actually fire it. My life may not be that great but I would like to continue living it. Might be interesting as a novelty, but I don't think I would actually get one.

Plus I already have my novelty short-barreled shotgun. If I got another shotgun, it would have to be something sensible like a pump-action Mossberg with a pistol grip and a tactical entry muzzle break :D.

Your question in the heading of this thread is "Would you buy one?"

You asked for opinions and you got them. Don't get your undies in a bunch just because they don't agree with your's.

Hey Bobby, could you post a few pic's of the double? I would like to see the barrel flats and the receiver with the barrels off. Thx.

Wow I was going to start a thread to see if Norinco could build us a belt fed .458 lott with a 14" barrel based on some old design from the first half of the 20th century, but after reading all of this I will delay my plans.:p

Crap guys. Usually things are civil in here. Locked for now. Going back to clean this mess up.

Please stay on topic, and keep personal shots in PMs, or better yet, just avoid them.

Brad.

Guys, Please show a little consideration to each other.

Some posts have been cleaned up. Bobby, if you want this unlocked, PM me.

Brad.

Gimmie a break. An 8ga for clay's.
Why not? Hell, a 10ga/12ga for clays? If it's LEGAL and it makes ONE happy doing it, then why should you tread on them? This is the very site that many believe we should be allowed CCW/Full auto, but you guys take a dump on a guy wanting to obliterate some clays with an 8ga?

Hypocrisy knows no bounds :)

I don't know! Why? What I do know is if think I needed a bmg, I would not cheap out and buy a Norinco. I do know that I never feel the need to blow a business card away with an 8 gauge. If you think that is fun, you should try getting laid. That will blow your mind. You should get out more:D

While Norinco isn't known for quality, their firearms are still OKAY. Well, some are anyway. Their m-14's, tt-33 copies, SKS's are all decent enough for the range. I hear their M-14's are actually not that bad and with some tweaking, can be pretty decent.

The fact is not the company, but the want that you're attacking. The business card was a fictional example and if you can't see past that, then you're really the one who needs to get out and socialize some.

The very thing we condemn the anti's for (trying to determine our needs/wants), is what you and win 64 are doing here. The fact that you both don't even realize it, is what's even scarier. If you don't think Bobby Ironsights should be busting clays with an 8ga, then that's okay... but don't try to take a dump on this thread. I know these guns will sell, and I'm confident they'll be effective for their purpose.

Bobby Ironsights: I'm confident that these would sell big. Anything new and 'exotic' like an 8ga sxs, especially with short barrels... the description alone would be a nice conversation piece, if anything.

Count me in for one!

My philosphy (I believe it to be one that we should all adopt, actually), is that if it's legal, and doing it makes you happy, then why not?

If I like blowing up power rangers with .50bmg, then why not? Expensive fun, but fun nevertheless.

What's not quality for one, might be quality for another. Quality is consumer specific. If the particular product satisfies a customer's requirements, price-wise and functionality-wise, then it's a quality product in that consumer's eyes.

So you would buy a gun you can't buy ammo for? That's great. have at it.

Would you buy one?

The 8 gauge was never really popular. Its claim to fame was during a time when components were not that great and it was larger than the 12 and the 10. I am sure that the 8 gauge would be awesome with modern ammunition and modern components readily available. They are not. At present the 8 gauge does not have much reason for existence other than as a conversation piece. Not allowed to hunt with it! One may be able to shoot business cards, pumpkins or whatever you choose, or you may shoot it just to hear the big bang, and that is your lawful right. You may even shoot clay with it, but I doubt that it would be permitted for use on most trap, skeet, and sporting ranges. Maybe for practice sessions on some ranges, if you could satisfy the no larger than 7 ½ shot rule? I would say that the only experience that most have had with the 8 gauge is seeing it portrayed in a recent B grade movie. No need to remind anyone here, that the movie makers love to portray gun play as extreme, and they have certainly done so here. They did the same thing with the choice of weapons in the dark knight.

Enough has been said on these threads on the quality of Norinco. Just my opinion, but those who import this stuff are not offering a quality product but are making their money on the I want it now and I can hardly wait, I want it and I must have it cheap bunch. CGNs often poke fun at themselves and often joke about the pure want and not the need. CGNs often agonize over the need to pay the bills and the want of some new toy. CGNs often mention the need to cut back on their impulse spending and mention that there is someone in their household who is concerned about their addiction or herd of toys. Many who post here do not flatter themselves. I am sure with the economy being what it is, these trash imports will be even more popular. Seems like the importers of this stuff are good business people and have tapped into a gold mine for them selves?

Would I buy one?

NO!

If this offends anyone, I will remind you that it is just my opinion, but I own it, and no amount of talk will change my mind and if you feel the need to insult me for it, have at it!
