Claybuster; I'm not sure anyone really wants a 12 inch 8 gauge, it was more of a tongue in cheek thing.

I know that I for one, would very much prefer a conventional barrel length for such a firearm, and yes, I agree with you. THere would be very real safety concerns with a shorty 8 gauge. That's why it's more of a humorous idea, than a realistic one.

And while it is true that there are challenges to be overcome with this 8 gauge shotgun idea, they aren't "out of this world" difficulties.

An 8 gauge double isn't everyone's cup of tea, but that's ok, there are a number of firearms that I don't own, like tactical firearms, but I certainly wouldn't want to discourage anyone from owning and enjoying them.

So. As to getting ammunition components, we do need to get them from the united states to Canada. I think it's lucky that we have a company, CanadaAmmo, that is experienced in importing and exporting and also that sporting shotgun ammunition and components are subject to different, less stringent regulations than centerfire ammunition exportation from the U.S.

You want one in 8ga? Have you got the 12ga working yet? What would you use an 8ga for?

It is clear that your breathless enthusiasm as chief cheerleader for Can Am and Norinco's POS sxs hasn't suffered since your Outlaw problems.

You asked for opnions on whether we'd buy a Norinco 8 gauge sxs. You got mine. FWIW, the ammo issue aside I feel about the same way about the Outlaw.

I want one big enough to have wheels and a tow hitch and if crushing clays is the name of the game, it got to be big enough to take out a whole carton of clays without opening the box.

Norcheapo has found a niche knocking off 870s and 1911s etc. because both are popular and there are a whole bunch of people who want cheap over quality. Actually the 1911 is not a bad knock off, but I digress. Norchintzie is smart enough to knock off something popular but it would be a money loosing proposition to knock off something dumb assed, that there is no need for. This one should be put to a poll.

I somehow sense that this thread is not going to continue as longs as the I can not wait for my bad assed double thread :sucks::weird::ban::shotgun:stfun00b::dancingbanana:

Would you shoot clay's with an 8ga? Is there a range that would let you shoot clay's with an 8ga. Who in their right mind would want to shoot clay's with an 8ga?

I love my outlaw, but the number one reason I actually bought it, is price. It wouldn't really matter in Norinco were handing out free 8 ga shotguns, ammo would still cost your left nut. The outlaw is a very affordable toy that I love to bits, but if it ever costs more than 30-35 cents per round to play with it, you'll see it on the EE pdq. So, norinco 8 ga, don't need to worry about one for me, thank you.

I think that Norinco would love to $$capitalize$$ on those two, especiallythe 28, but even Norinco is not dumb assed enough think they could make money on the 8 gauge.:D

I think norinco will make most of their money on parts for the outlaw. I am not sure of the warranty that comes with them (if any). Thats where they will loose money. After seeing the pics that have been posted of them they are not going to hold together.
