Yep, still winter time. no body has anything better to do with there time. For the guys who are actually leaving the laptop and getting out to spread some lead. Good for you, enjoy your Outlaw.

Just wondering for the people who ordered and already received them--what date did you order yours? I was a bit late on the draw and didn't order one until Jan 5. I'm still queued, and just wondering how long I might have to wait.

We are also in complete agreement on that as well and it pretty much sums up how I regard the "Outlaw."

Then why are you still following this thread? I don't understand why Claybuster and Win/64 seem to take the mere existence of this gun as a personal insult. Sure it's basically a cheap piece of junk, but I'm getting one for ****s and giggles when my brother comes to visit--just for fun while they're still legal. Lighten up.

i went in Dec 31. Mark said he hoped to get mine out next week. they are quite busy i imagine bunch of orders, pistols & shotguns, t97s coming, etc. i don't mind waiting - if it were like a business or some government agencies that had enough staff to get everything out instantly when it came in you'd probably have to pay $100 more to cover the extra overhead

Ok, thanks. I was just wondering. I'll probably expect another couple weeks then. No real hurry, I suppose, as long as those zombie hordes keep their distance...

We are in complete agreement. You have the right perspective and understand that it is a cheap piece of junk. If someone is getting one for s**ts and giggles then fill yer boots, you'll have no argument from me.

But the girlish gushing and gooing over these cheap pieces of s**t as if they are the second coming of Joseph Manton deserves a response. ;)

They are not cheap guns. They are solid shotguns. Well made for the price they ask for.

Those shotguns answered calls from Canadian shooters. Now we don't have to follow foreign gun laws. We can shoot short barrel shotguns because it's OK here.

Don't call another gun POS simply because you don't like it. We all have preference. A little respect can add lots of fun to discussion.

Cheers,

Michael

Anyone considering a better bead or front site?

Not really, unless you're bored... I don't know what makes you think they are ####, they work, at least mine does, and frankly I do find some of the 'hysteria' about them from some negative quarters mildly bemusing due to the knee-jerk reaction to these guns. I have seen alot of cheap Spanish SXSs that were far worse, not to mention some Brazilian crap. I suppose we could all pool our funds and buy Ljutics or something, I certainly don't want any Brownings, so what else would the negative old gramps types suggest for a 'good time gun'? Maybe an old single shot Cooey? For 300$s with a 12in barrel these are the second coming, the first coming was the 12inch Grizzlies, the old men should put down thier geritol and 8-Tracks, and try having some fun ;)

It is not that I simply don't like the guns or have acquired my opinion based on the assorted Internet blathering.

I have shot two of the Norinco guns and taken one apart. They are without exception the absolutely worst sxs shotguns on the face of the earth. They have been around in the 20" version for quite some time but lop of 6" and suddenly they are in high demand among those with a Mad Max fantasy or who want to look badass when the see themselves in the Magic Mirror.

They are getting the respect they deserve which isn't much at all.

If your going to buy a Ljutic. Buy it used. You will save yourself a lot of money. Their resale value is very poor. Great guns though. :)

mine here today, looking forward to play. Overall it is better than I was expecting. Should be fun for cowboy action as well as can killing. I will shoot a couple rounds of skeet but don't expect much. Have fun boys (& girls).

You answered your own question. For a good time gun get the Grizzly. Norinco has managed to slap together a reasonable facsimile of the Remington 870. They work although not my first choice for serious business without the the flex tab but they are decent enough guns. The sxs hammer gun is a POS.

Chinese guns have been famous(or infamous) for they finishing - especially inside. However, there are many GNZs (including me) don't really worry about the internal finishing.

The standards of quality are not unique. Fancy wood, for example, means a lot to experienced clay shooters. However, not every one want or willing ot pay 3k for that.

This short barrel Outlaw is supposed to be the copy of a old beat-up cowboy coach gun. It shouldn't have fancy wood or "glass-smooth" action. It, however, gives curious GNZs a chance to know what a saw off shotgun feel like, to know how it shoot, to know how loud it can be and yes, the chance to dress up as criminals in front of a mirror :)

It's another kind of fun other than busting clays.

Well have I got some news for you. :) It is the inside of the gun you should be worried about. Especially on a double gun. This is another of your posts that proves to me, you don't know what your talking about.

Let's give this a try: if you have absolutely no interest in anything to do with the Outlaw shotgun and your only "contribution" to the thread is to insult the posters that have bought them, find another thread to troll.

I have a great interest in the Outlaw. My interest is in letting potential purchasers know what they are getting. Read back through all the threads here and what I've attempted to do is explain why these guns are junk (an opinion shared by others) and while they might have an amusement factor are not particularly well made guns.

What is also clear from your own posts is that you have an interest in owning one or have one already. Great. Enjoy.

Now you are a moderator, albeit not in this forum, and as such can conspire with your colleagues to infract me if you so choose for my remarks in this thread.

But consider all the posts, in context, and some of the remarks directed toward me and others who just aren't all wide-eyed and slobbering over the Norinco POS.

CB, I'm pretty sure that everyone who has read this thread is more than appraised of your opinion on the gun. Job well done.

So, again, if you are going to contribute something constructive then fine. If you are going to continue bashing everyone and their purchases then that is another matter.
