^^^ The other socialist crap is "Quanity has a quality of its own" ;)

To all those that complain about $40 PMAGS - get some cheaper ones...

Thats right at this time you can't.....

so...will we be seeing any Pmags, expensive or not, in county anytime soon? I'd like to get my hands on 2-3 of them.

I'm not a big fan of the saying 'We won't make enough money so we won't sell it"?? WTF?
How about "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"

Must be a pretty profitable business to turn down any possible profit however small.
Business can't survive on only high profit margin items - not enough of them.
I would rather serve many customers and make a smaller margin, than serve the $elect few that will pay a high margin.

So how about you take YOUR butt off that keyboard and get US Pmags ?
OUR need sure out-weight the power of YOUR suggestion.

FYI my wife and I looked into this -- we had been quoted $6k for an export lic.
However as we went further into it - it was realized that it would be a LOT more, and upfront.

Given the amount of $ to get a reasonable size of PMAG's, the time to pin them, and ensure they work botl closed with 5 round, and not fit more. The additional headaches of dealing with DOS for non LE/MIL end users etc, we decided that it was not worth it.

As much as I love Magpul, I would suggest someone talk to Jeff Cahill at TangoDown, the design of his mag would make a 5rd version much eaiser, additionally he could do a 10rd Pistol mag in a larger body - due to the two piece construction.

FWIW Magpul has at least some of its molds made in China.

Hmmm.... I wonder... Has anyone approached Magpul and asked about "manufacturing under license" and possibly buying some of the components direct from their off-shore suppliers and finishing the product here in Canada?

Sounds like a great idea but how are those mags: durable even with the two-piece design?

Sigger looked at them at Shot Show they are very well built but the Upper tower of the magazine is snapped on to the lower part of the mag body and glued they Do Not come apart and I have heard that the Retail price in the US is $25.00 for non miltary models and $30.00+ for the military model

Thanks Savage, just read up about the ARC on Defense Review. Top and bottom are glued together with an adhesive stronger than the bottom polymer. Any cleaning required can be done due to the slotted follower. No baseplate vulnerability.

Could be a tough mag to figure out where the 5 round follower location is for pinning if one can't open it!

Spoke to Jeff Cahill at Tango Down (at Shot Show & today on the phone) and to make this viable for Canada he would require a firm commitment of 10,000 5rd magazines for one year, at the quoted price per magazine this would be a major expense for any company or distributor to bear, we have a viable and thriving market but we cannot sell 10,000 magazines this year, if any of you believe that we can and have the financial courage, speak up and start laying out the cash. You would be shocked to learn how much these magazines would cost, and you would also be paying for the new mould - one of you on the boards knows exactly what I am talking about.

5rds? Would be helpful if they just tell us where to drill the back spine to rivet for 5.5rds. ;)
