HK USC to UMP conversion

hello all,

i have a usc as well and was looking to do the conversion but just read on another thread that if i cut the barrel it will make it a prohib. is this true?

If a gunsmith cuts the barrel or if you buy a new shorty barrel, than your ok. But sawing off a barrel for a semi auto under 18.5" is a no-no.
 
usc UMP conversion question

Thanks for the clarification.

I found this site in the US that sells the UMP flange for the USC. I don't think I'll be able to get a 7.87 barrel so I'm really considering this route.

Have any of you ordered or dealt with these folks before?

My conversion was completed last night. I used the HERA arms conversion, cost me a couple hundred bucks less, and it was a lot easier. Not as authentic, but it works for me.

Is there a place in canada that will sell the 7.87 inch barrel id radther buy 1 and not cut up the original. Oh and Nick did you have to die anything with the hera stock or did it match up?

Well if you look real close the colour is not a perfect match. I could have bought a black USC, but that would have cost me another 400-500 than what I got the grey one for.
