Anyone has experience with that pistol...got mine last summer brand new... it shoots too too low even with maximum rear sight adjustment...
I am an experience pistol shooter so grouping is no issue but precision is...
rear sight is depressed to the max and the front sight is fix with that cute red plactic stick (sort of a optic fibre)...

any advice would be appreciated...

Remove the the fiberoptic with a jewelers saw.
File the front sight down a bit.
Then JB Weld or another High tensile epoxy/metal resin the Fiberoptic back on
It'll lift her up some.

I almost bought one myself.
I ended up getting a HW45 in .22 'stead
 
Most people that bought them were not too happy with them.Re: harsh shooting,difficult to regulate the sights and not ergonomic.These reviews came from another forum .The HW's are superior in every way.And as usual velocity was over rated for marketing purposes.................................Harold
 
I seem to remember them advertising it as 700fps and then it only doing 500.
That's still pretty good for a spring pistol. But my Weihrauch is about as good as it gets. And .22 to boot.
 
Thanks for the tips...I will likely try the trim down project of the front sight with the JB weld...I picked that pistol as the reviews I had read were pretty good....also I have a Diana 54 rifle in .177 and it is pretty good for me...using the small 4X scope I get good results.
 
Your front sight needs to be taller....
Is the front sight in a standard 3/8" dovetail?
Might be easy to just replace the front sight with a taller williams fire sight.

I thought you needed to raise your front sight as you had run out of lowering adjustment at the rear but now I don't think that is your problem..

You say it is shooting low but you have adjusted your rear sight to the lowest position and it is still too low....

You need to raise the rear sight to raise the shots on your target......

Eh oui alors...I figued it out...I did not explain my problem correctly...the pistol shoots too HIGH with the fix front sight and the adjustable rear sight fully down...
I said shoots too low while I should have said too high...in any case I have a problem that can not be adjusted within the gun's normal sight adjustment... so it is not for me what you could call 'out of the box' satisfaction with this reputable company...
Suggestion anyone...?
 
Are you sure the front sight post isn't height adjustable? Check the front sight for a screw. My Scorpion BSA pistol front post can be loosened and moved up or down. Then you just tighten the screw to keep it in place.

How is it attached?
Seems you need a taller sight or some heavier pellets might help....

What range(distance) are you shooting at?

front sight is part of the front barrel sleeve...do not think it can be removed from that sleeve (no dove tail or scree etc..)
I shoot at about 20 paces. yesterday I replicated the test indoor at 10 paces and it shot about 4 '' too high.

part 2 on the recall, I checked and it is for US customers with that pistol with serial numbers ranging between 0331690 and 03344312.
I checked with D&L in BC, where I got mine and they will check for a recall in Canada...I could not find a recall in Canada with google...only in US...

I remember reading last spring about such problem with the pistol firing by itself...

I double check my front sight and it is definity part of the front barrel sleeve extension. The sleeve assembly can be removed by unscrewing the 2 allen screws under that sleeve. Anyone know about replacing the front sleeve with a higher front sight??
 
I was in touch with the place where I bought it in BC (D&L) they referred me to the distributor in Canada...the suggestion to address my sight problem is to use heavier pellets...I would prefer if the pistol was design to deal with a variety of pellets...within the sight adjustment range...
They also indicated there were no such thing as replacement front sight.
 
Latest on this monologue discussion...
my seller in BC suggested I talk to the Canadian importer in Toronto...which I did...results: there is no front sight replacement and heavier pellets may resolve this shooting too high problem...so I will locate some heavier pellets and do a test...I am not confident of this solution but will give it a try and report on this thread...if anyone is interested...(anyone has a source for heavier pellets in Ottawa... I plan to visit LeBaron...!?)
