25-06

I used my 25-06 this past fall for moose, and had good results. I got a nice cow, and a bull with no bullet recovered. I like the 120gr nosler-P for the bigger stuff, but for deer Cor-locts are just fine.,

Oh the recoil reduction issue check into Kick-Eez recoil pads they will absorb/redistribute recoil better than anything else out there.

I have them on all of my heavy recoiling rifles.

I have a friend who has shot 5 moose with a .243 and never lost one! I have owned a .25-06 and agree that with TSX bullets or even acccubonds a 25-06 will have no problems dispatching a moose. I shot a caribou with my 25-06 that was facing straight on at 150 yards, using accubonds the bullet hit him at the base of his neck and went straight through him front to back, the animal didn't take a step! Use your 25-06 and don't look back!

Bum shoulder sucks. Had to do some load development with 300s in my 358 STA. Just about brought tears to my eyes. Job got done and never felt a thing when when I shot my moose this past year. If you already have a load for the 338-06 use it, I doubt you will notice any recoil when shooting the animal.

Someone on another forum I use asked about recommendations for which .25-06 ammo to use, and I looked it up on a local gunsmith's website (here in Denmark) and I was shocked at the price.

What kind of price does factory loaded .25-06 cost in Canada?

Sorry for the off topic question by the way!

Cheers
Jeff

Anywhere between $28-60 CDN or $22-50 USD ( 130-280 DKK) depending on brand and whether "standard" or premium bullets/nickel plated cases are used.
