Quick Question : What is a Norinco SkS-D worth?
Yeah, depends what it comes with. I just sold mine for 650, but before anyone accuses me of price gouging, I had a lot more money than that into the gun. Between the Tapco stock, spare parts, and 300 on spare mags, I would say that I sold it at a loss, especially considering how few rorunds I had put through it!

My Norinco sks. Only mod is a rubber but pad and had to convert it to a 5 rd magazine from the original 10 rd. Bought it new around 94. Maybe 250 rounds through her to date.

Here's mine. A Norinco modified to accept standard AK mags. 18.5" barrel with a Butler Creek stock and a NC Star scope. Might be putting this one up for sale, need a few $ for a couple of Russians.

No, I bought it like that. From what I've read, the mods to the magwell takes a skilled machinist, me and my Dremel would not have done as nice a job.;)

They are pieces of crap....why spend money changing stocks .....they still shoot the same......better than a mini 14 but nothing to write home about..

Your just spending good money after bad.......you want a real black gun buy an AR

Shoot the SKS until it breaks and throw it out.......or sell it for parts..

Here is mine......Range guests do sime to smile when they shoot it though

Wow talk about raining on someone's parade. We all have opinions without being deflamitory. The SKS is just a fun gun and history signifigant. There is an incredible amount of more MOA accurate guns out there. Pay the money and get the gun. SKS, Shoot it, love it, clean it and have fun. I belonged to clubs where "my gun is better than your gun", ego, the egotists did not have a lot of friends.

Reasons for swapping stock:
- gives me time to sand out the scratches and put a new finish on the wood one.
- I find the synthetic lighter.
- prefer the feel of pistol grip and synthetic in the woods.
- most of all, I can adjust the butt stock.

But I still use both stocks.

Quick Question : What is a Norinco SkS-D worth?

I had about 10 of the SKS's...

The most I paid was 300 and that was for a mint Yugo SKS (hence, not a D model) but great metal and wood.

Anyhow, the most i sold my SKS-D for was 250 and they were about 100 to 200 at the most when i was buying them. back in 1999~2001 more or less. I would not pay more than 300 for a SKS-D in todays prices.
