picture of our sks

Unfortunetly the very very small club I belong too, is out doors in a rock quarry and you have to be with one other member to be able to shoot since no one is there to run it. You basically get the key to open the gate to go shoot, but for safety reasons you need two people. My buddy also belongs to this club, but to find time when we are both available to go is a tough challenge. Hopefully I will get out soon, my crate of ammo is just waiting to be opened.

Resistance is futile

For me to get the same value sks vs AR I would have to spend

1 sks 150
Reloading dies and molds 80
Stripper clips thrown out by others 0

Total 230

1 AR 1500
reloading dies plus swagger 1000
Mags 30 bucks each 10 300

Eotech 3 point sling and everything
elses that someone Needs for an AR $$$$

So I would be looking at 230 versus 2800+

so far I have been able to resist. Kind of like quiting smoking for a Gun Nutz.

resistance is futile I bought a CQ-311. I've got a kidney available if anyone is looking for one on ebay to help pay for the accessories.

Latest SKS to join my safe ;)

pretty spiffy....details? ;)

Sorry :)

Ok its a Russian Tula SKS 55/56, all matching and has a mirror bore.
Got it from a friend who decided he wants to thin down the herd in order
to free up cash for his new army truck hobby .

army truck hobby ;) That could be a cool thread too. Did some Russian SKSs have a chrome bore?

Yah apparently the spring return on the firing pins was only for a few years.
No one is really sure why they gave up the idea.

There is a company in the USA that installs a spring kit on your SKS bolt, but the links tend to get thrashed for some reason.

I'm guessing they went with a free floating firing pin to simplify the rifle even more. They both work, just one has less parts. Only difference is the spring loaded one I am guessing would stop any slam fires when it gets dirty.

New SKS in the house.

A minty 1966 Chinese military issue (yes that's a blade bayonet). :)

Next to the other new rifle, a Russian M44 Mosin (1946).

Ha HA...you want to pimp out a G6 with a set of rims....why....all you'll do is phuck up the steering geometry and wear out the tires...never mind a Ferrari...the G6 is not even a fake sports car.....its what soccer moms use to get groceries.......

changing the wheels will not change steering geometry as there is no steering geometry your thinking of the suspension geomtry and that will not change unless you change suspension componets ie springs and this can be corrected by a simple front end alignment ;)
