picture of our sks

When I applied to bring my Nork SKS down to the states on a Form 6 it was rejected due to the US 1994 ban on Norinco non-sporting firearms. How do you manage to get yours down there?

As for the full-auto trigger group, this about sums it up :bsFlag: The only way that could be done is for an idiot to take out the disconector, leaving the gun to slam fire the magazine (good way to lose a face). None of the few Norinco SKS looking rifles (the Type 68 I believe) made it to North America.

Nah, im special.

I go to the states sometimes. Pin inserted for Canada, pin yanked for some parts of USA. Simple. Full auto trigger group too to go with the standard.

Ever seen an SKS put 450 rounds downrange in under a minute?
Good times.

Oh, hell no, I don't have a full auto trigger, my bud in Kentucky does.

My hackjob is Norinco, my SKS is Yugo, sorry for sounding like a dink.

Betcha you're right!!!:D ;) :D

Why you guys try to make your SKS look so fancy? They were born for being abused! The best way to treat your SKS is feeding her with blood. :D

So many people seem to think that people are trying to make their SKS "look" fancy, or like an AR. Personally, I got the tapco T6 stock, not for looks, but for comfort. The adjustable butstock allows me to shoot the gun much more comfortably(the factory buttstock is way too short!!!

I am just trying to make mine enjoyable to shot. Some like the original SKS design and components, I am not one of them. The stock is too short, and the iron sights are terrible.

If I ever find a original Russian/Yugo in good condition and shape, I will pick it up and keep it in original condition.

The iron sights are just fine, you just have to learn how they work. :D
Thanks Calum, I didn't realize I needed help, maybe next you could teach me how to pull the trigger

I apologize for having an opinion that is different than yours, from now on I will keep my opinion to myself

You don't have to be frustrated. What Calum said is true, the iron sight on SKS is perfect for its design. I've never wanted to swap it. The stock is just fine with my body size too.

My point was Re: the SKS iron sights...You have to use the force clang, let it flow. :D
Same goes with the trigger, and it's long creepy feel. :p

Hang in there, and soon you will learn to love them both for what they are. :D

LOL wish I had the time to shoot mine. The one I purchased from a fellow member here I put only 50 rnds through, and the new Rusky one I picked up a while ago I have not even fired yet.

Pal, it's time to get ready for the coming hunting season. :)

emmab,
Where did you pick up the raised cheek piece for your stock? I have been looking for something like it for a while.

I made it out of fiberglass, it was one of those days when I couldn't think of anything else to do:onCrack: It works like a dream on those high rec cover mounts
