Looking for a bit of info , carbine is 17 1/4" barrel length. 6.5 x 55 swede . carl gustafs stads gevarsfaktorl. over all length 38 1/2" .The only thing i have been able to find online states this carbine is highly sought after and collectable.the furniture is typical military rough, but the action / bore is near perfect / all #'s match.
this is my favorite caliber( have another for myself),perfect length carbine for my son,i was going to scope it . this would obviously destroy any collector value.
my question is ,is this carbine truly rare ? or should i go ahead & just scope it & have the perfect little rifle for my son? sell it and put the money towards a ruger compact? i'm realy not liking the thought of desecrating a rare piece of military history but would like to confirm that this is or isn't.
any thought on value ?
