Apparently the breechface absorbs all the impact from the firing pin when dry firing a Glock. Maybe it's that, combined with the heat, the breechface appearing to be somewhat thin, and impact from a high round count. Who knows. Glock sure as hell won't acknowledge it lol
I still don't get why they don't beef up the slide under the ejection port a bit. That one seems common.
It's funny when people over on the GlockTalk forum get so offended if something like this comes up. They think maybe there is a conspiracy against Glock and that any claim against Glocks reliability is purely fictional. They are wicked guns, which have an awesome record for reliability, but they also use very effective marketing tactics which a lot of people seem to completely buy into.
Either way, I still want one
