NON Restricted Colt Ar in .22lr

VZ58'S NOW PROHIBITED

This is all speculation.

John's curent incoming shipment of VZ's as he stated is a Completely different build then existing ones in country. Let's wait this thing out and get clear and accurate information before we make statements like this and create mass panic. Unless of course you have clear and accurate info from a RCMP firearms tech that has made the ruling on this.

PONTS.......I forgot to put a question mark after prohibited, but i also mentioned that there "might" be a classification problem and to check out the thread for details.

Check out this thread ( http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=298532 ) page 29 from John (Marstar owner himself)

Here is a reply on that thread from John (Marstar owner) himself.

.........." Posts: 1,118 NAVY SHOOTER:
"Is it a re-classification to restricted or prohibited? "

They are now classed prohib. This applies to the VZ-58s

sorry to hijack the thread.....no back to your regular scheduled programming

Be nice if they made beta drum mags for these rifles. 100 rounds or 250 or something of the sort would be fun.
I have 3x of the BDM, my fingers hurt after loading just 1. the 27th round is always a #####. Yes 250 rd would be nice, but not sure I'd play with it all too often.

The shop ordered them. I talked to the guy that placed the order. Apparently there are 3 different models coming in?... One with carry handle, one with iron sights (like BUIS) and one with the optic. I was told they are sold as packages and include all the accessories...

Its all second hand information so I'm not posting all the things I was told and then getting flamed for what is true or not. All I know forsure is that the order was placed for these and that they are non restricted. When they come, if they come, how many come.. I have no idea...

Correction ... those pieces of s**t are non-restricted.
Hi there Easy, my (pos, but I love it) armi jagger .22 is restricted so those squires might be too. That transfer took over a year!

If they come into Canada as non restricted, i'll buy one forsure, maybe even 2. One as the M4 model, and one the M16 model with the 16" floating barrel.

Actually, the Armi Jagger isn't such a bad gun.

The Squire Binghams 1600 are a completely different animal than the Armi Jagger. NONE of the SB parts are common to, or interchangeable with the AR15/M16 family.

I am sure that the Squ. Bings are non-restricted.

I know this from my involvement in a criminal melee where someone with a POL had his firearms removed from him and his Sq. B. was in someone elses possesion when confiscated and there would have been more charges applied if this gun was indeed a restricted firearm.

This can also be confirmed by someone with access to the FRT database. A verifier for instance.
