Feniz.NZ I would refrain from using your weapon mounted light to search for gear as everything you point it at will be in the line of fire. I guess if you were on your own its not such an issue.
Plink,
I see lights from this perspective. The more lumens the better, within reason. Fenix has a new 630 lumen light which would be great. The down side is that too much light will blind the operator and impede ones ability to identify targets especially indoors. The other issue with high lumen lights(200 or better) is size and weight. Having the ability to identify your target from the far side of a football field might be useful on your rifle. I don't think its necessary for your 50 yard and closer shotgun. Especially if HD is the intended role(acreages not included!). The surefire fore-ends or a 6P/G2LED mounted would be more than sufficient for the job. A TLR1 or Surefire x200 would also be excellent. Very small, light weight and ample lumens. LED is definitely the way to go with the heavy recoil on a shotgun.
USP,
Your shotguns are all business. Nothing excessive and everything you might need with the exception of a sling. Although slings on HD guns aren't overly beneficial.
