outlaw stock issues!

im not quite sure when or how it happened, but does anybody have any fix ideas. or can a guy get a new stock for them things? i'd rather not bash it up this early!

a few of us were out shootin, and a buddy was usin' er. musta slid something across the side of the action and it caught on the lip and it chipped..

no i didn't shoot both barrels at once.. if i want recoil i'll shoot my fiberglass stock 375.

Bummer man, mine feels hard to the touch but after seeing how easily yours chipped, i'll be a bit more careful with it.

ya, a bit frustrating.. i do have access to a wood shop, not that im all that capable. but i could probably accomplish a fix job i think.

Try some wood putty and mix it with a little Walnut stain.

You could drill a few small holes into the stock, underneath the recoil pad to obtain some sawdust and then mix it with a clear hard setting resin or glue. It would be an exact colour match.

I did that using Crazy glue and saw dust to fix a revolver grip then fixed the checkering and it came out quite nice. Same color but a little bit more shiny but barely noticeable. The trick is to make a big stump of it, then gently work and shape it down with a mild file.

If you still have the chip try gluing it in with wood glue. Wipe off the excess and you should be good to go. As a last resort if the wood seams oily try cleaning it gently with a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Keep the wood as clean as you can untill you glue it.

i never even thought of lookin for the chip.. i'll have a look. probably in the back seat of my truck.. i'll probably let it sit for a day, then i'll tackle it, everytime i jump to something i screw it up lol. thats my reason for procrastination anyway..

Which Crazy glue gel or regular (liquid)?
