50 BMG Bolt Gun<<<

So< what are my choices besides the Steyr 50 at $ 5400.00 ????

I can;t find much on here for sale ,<

if there are some, (50 BMG Bolt ) please feel free to PM me // Thnx
I would like to compete at 600 or so yds<< <<

You don't need to use a .50 BMG round to shoot 600 yards. A .308 or a .223 will shoot well past 1000 yards. If you want to compete, I would drop in at the range a see what everyone else is using and ask questions. I have seen allot of people piss away large sums of money on super duper magnum rifles, only to find out there local range is not templated for that caliber.

I agreed with Maynard. Our range is only rated for 338. So check with you range executive/officer first before spending the dollars.

I would second what solar is saying, for example our range is rated for everything up to .50 cal .... but NOT 50 cal itself.

some guy bought the steyr and got off one shot before the rage nazi's shut him down.... after all that money spent he was pissed.

in comparison, dawson creek has no restriction at their range :) ... so moral of the story is to check before packing 60 pounds of gear and rifle up and heading to the range :)

We build 50's with Barnard GP actions, Tru-Flite barrels and, of course, our stocks. You are looking right about $5k. Just about any colours available. You still need sights and a bipod. Interestingly they are very easy to import into the USA but you can't get them out!

Guys please move this to the right forum...

That is a precision rifle not a black rifle...

KPA

I am confused. The Nemesis 50 caliber rifle IS a precison long range rifle as are the 50s I build. They sure are not black rifles other than in color which can vary. Did I miss something? What forum should we be posting in?
Not trying to cause anything, just curious. Was this thread moved from another forum?

Maynard's right, no need for a monster caliber for only 600 yds, .308 would work quite well and depending on what type of matches your talking about they probably won't allow anything with a muzzle brake i.e. .338's or 50's.
50's are also cost prohibitive when it comes to shooting alot, due to the cost of the ammo/parts and the guns them selves. Also can be a challenge to get the supplies for.
