got a letter from the CFO and apparently they wont transfer to my name until i get my ATT? I didnt relise this was the case. The CFO said I can fax my membership to my local shootingrange to them and they send me one or something along those lines, a new way of doing it instead or the applications and all, anyone done this?

I got the same letter on Monday. Faxed in the membership on Tuesday and I haven't gotten the e-mail saying it's been shipped yet.

Yah weird eh, Since when did you need a ATT to buy a pistol? I thought you could get day pass sort of things. Anyways, did you just fax them the membershipcard?

Okay thats what Im doing tomorrow I just wanted to make sure. I wrote a little note reguarding what the fax was all about so noone tossed it out. we'll see i guess:confused:

I dunno, this is the first time I've bought Restricted before. I just got my PAL in December. I hope I did it right and my handguns get shipped tomorrow.

*crosses fingers*

update, called CanAM, they have me the reference number, called the CFO, it been approved, they just didn't inform CanAM.

Now waiting for it to be shipped!

It arrived 9:15AM this morning. Not bad for $99. Will require some polishing. Looking forward to taking it to the range this weekend.

There is enough of this little puppy's that we should start a 213 honor match.
Any takers to get it started?

Well my 213 from Canam finally arrived yesterday. Ordered it Jan 22.
Disassembled for cleaning today and did a side by side with my Norc 54-1.

My observations:

- Build quality and finish are identical. The 213 may even be nicer depending on your personal preference as it has grooves at the top of the slide.
-Barrel dimensions are identical ( except for the chambering obviously as the 54-1 is in 7.62x25.
-parts all appear to be identical and interchangeable.
-the ejection port on the 213 is noticeably smaller.

I haven't fired either of them yet as the 54-1 is a recent acquisition and I haven't been able to source any local ammo. I'm hoping to pick some up at the Chilliwack show this weekend.

My recommendations for those sitting on the fence:

GIT YER %$$ OVER TO CANADAAMMO AND ORDER ONE

****DISCLAIMER******
I'm not a gunsmith, I don't own calipers, and I can't hit anything past 10 m.

Please compare them: NORC M213 vs NORC 54...with pics please . I want to ge Type 54 I hope finish is better on it then on $99 wonder

Look more closely (and measure) with the M213 and 54-1 beside each other. On the M213:

-the hammer group is different (is farther forward); and
- there is a protrusion on the bottom of the breech face that runs into the hammer group. The M213 hammer group housing has a relief cut for this.

Try to install the 7.62x25 barrel from the 54-1 on the M213 and see how a 7.62x25 round does not cycle.
