2009 Sneak Peek from CanadaAmmo

45ACPKING;
Am I missing something here about shipping ammo ??
Rarely is it a problem to move ammo over the oceans of the world, however there often problems moving ammo within the vendor country....

hey John
the piracy rumour has been floating around for a while...... and i was also told that china was imposing extra controls on certain freight leaving thier country.

you and i both know that rumours abound :D . I was told both of these while talking to a senior CBSA agent at my place of employment. As you may be personally aware, i move containers around and to and from cargo vessels here at New westminsters ports in B.C. . Is there any validity to the rumous...... heck i dunno...... but we haven't seen Canam's 7.62x51 norinco ammunition yet..... and i happen to have had a little birdie tell me it was bought and paid for quite some time ago. I also heard that china put a freeze on the movement of ammunition in and out of it's country during the olympics held there.

so.... who knows...... we will just sit and wait and PRAY for some reasonably priced (400.00 or less per 1000) 7.62x51 to hit our shores.

What happened to the .308 ammo from south Asia (Indonesia?) that Chris was talking about a while ago? IIRC it was supposed to be reloadable (brass case, boxer primed) and cost $~300/1000.
I'd buy a couple of dozen crates at that price.

That went to the US. Few years ago. there is more coming up, but I have other fish to fry right now.

Fry em up! :) Is there anything we can do for you? There's at least seventy of us that are easily contactable here.... Anything is better than :popCorn: (most of us have wrote our letters already).

Bigger fish to fry? If you brought in .308 ammo in reloadable cases for anywhere near 300-400$ per 1000, you would instantly be promoted to the status of GOD in Canadian shooting community. What can be bigger than that?

I think he is refering to his 1 000 000 dollar shipment of T97's that is being held up by the scum at RCMP and yes that is more important than bringing in cheap 308 at the moment.

CanAm, any chance of a Norinco copy of a Sig P220 in .45, the 226 clones are preaty good, so maybe they could copy the 220 also.

In the other thread I posted pics of the prototype, based on the 226. The plant cancelled the project.

Dang it!

Any word on wether the 12.5" bolt action .22s, and 8.5" Grizzly/grizzly mags are still going to be produced and imported?

I miss being able to pre-order things, though I understand it's impossible to tell what the gunstapo will arbitrarily decide to screw with you for.
