I like how everyone is ditching the extended slide stop and big mag button on the new series Norc 1911A1's in favour of standard parts. I know I did it myself...

Amazing what one can do with a 1944 mfg USGI Rem-Rand frame...

Interesting that you left the GI stamped trigger in her?

I have two other triggers here.

BUT

The biggest issue I notice shooting in gloves all the time here is those triggers take up most of the area inside the trigger guard.
I fitted one then the other - and went back to the stock 1943 USGI.

It was an Armoury rebuild at some point after WWII - it had a Colt slide -but was a "duplicate" Ithaca (FJA stamp) frame - so a 1943 Ithaca war gun (I wish it could talk).

Actually, by the frame serial number: 1606254...... makes it a 1944 Remington Rand manufactured frame. Remington Rands also had the same "FJA" inspector's initals.

Looks like remnants of an "ANAD" [Anniston Army Depot (Anniston, Alabama)] arsenal refurb stamp under the serial number as well for the 'rebuild'. ;)
