I'm looking for a .22LR insert for my Stoeger Condor Outback O/U 12-gauge shotgun. I'd like to carry only one gun for hunting, and its versatility is already quite good (interchangeable choke tubes, shot or slugs), but the ability to fire .22LR would be useful for small game (much easier to carry a box of .22LR than a box of shotshells!).
I intend to use it for game at a maximum range of 25 yards, and would like to ideally have groupings of 1" at that range (max 2").
So far I've managed to find the following:
Dina Arms:

These are the same length as a shotshell (2.5"), so the rifling would be very short (1.5"?).
Does anybody have experience with these? Would they meet my accuracy requirements?
Update: see preliminary range report, post # 21.
MCAce:

These come in 10" or 18" lengths. I would probably use the 10" (lighter, easier to pack). These would most likely be quite a bit more accurate than the Dina Arms adapter (being twice the length of a pistol barrel).
However they are somewhat cumbersome to use: once the round has been fired, one must remove the adapter (being careful not to lose the rimfire plug which fits over the round), and remove the cartridge using a rod.
Are there any adapters like the MCAce (around 10" long), but which don't require a rimfire plug, and removal of the adapter after each shot?
I've also seen some Lothar Walther .22LR adapters, but they are only for centerfire rifle calibres (not for shotguns), and require the same procedure as the MCAce for firing and extracting the round.
