nice .. it seems that everyones getting big shipments of these in... looking foreward to seing more of your fine specimens lol

i had about 20 russians in recently months and none are as pretty as these 3 from moving target .
like i said before they are not "unissued" but pretty darn close even the wood isnt damaged by the guys whos pinning the mags.

the rifles were well packed too.

Nice score, Curtton!:)

I phoned, but they still hadn't gotten to me.

I'm starting to feel like the little boy that Santa Claus forgot.:(

Excellent curtton,
Are any of them Izhevsk?

unfortunately no. :(
that would be next to hitting a jack pot , ofcos a jack pot would be a 1949 .

Rats, I was hoping one of us would be able to snag one.
I asked Ed weeks ago to pick me out an Izhevsk, but when he phoned me a couple days ago he said he didn’t have one, but he has a beautiful Tula for me.

That’s all I needed to hear, box it up and send it.
I just got home from work and there is a Canada post pick up notice for my rifle.
Here’s hoping my rifle is as outstanding as yours.
Cheers

I wonder why they dyed the shellac red? To match the flag?
I refinished one of mine in natural Garnet shellac and the issued one I dyed the shellac with aniline dye to match the original shade; I can say I like the undyed shellacked one more.
