The long barrel Canadian version makes no sense.
The only reason I don't own a G19 is the aftermarket barrel.

It makes sense because that is the only G19 that can be had in this country. Oh sure... there are a handfull of 15 year old + beater Gen 1 GLOCK 19's out there for the 12(6) guys but, barring a revolution, 102mm barrel (4 inch) handguns like the G19 will never again be allowed into this country in their original configuration. That is all the reason anyone needs to buy one.
The talk about carrying and concealability is a bit tiresome. In this country, carry your GLOCK 17 or 19, concealled or otherwise, and your days of owning firearms are over anyway.
I doubt the little bit of barrel protrusion affects concealability since it's tucked into your pants. It's the butt you have to hide!
Having said that, if I didn't have my 12(6), I would go for the stick-out barrel G19.
Yes it worth it - the barrel is only a smidge longer than factory one. Unlike the G26/27 lieberal mandate contraptions
Exactly. The difference between the stock barrel and the Canadian market barrel is about 3.5 to 4mm, depending on the barrel maker.
Millimetres folks. The barrel sticks out on all GLOCKS. The Canadian 19's have a few more millimetres.
GLOCK 17's are so boring. No newbie is complete without one. I had one for awhile years ago. I didn't like it much. The balance doesn't agree with me at all. It's brutally front heavy in my view.
GLOCK 19's are nice. Don't own one, but I've shot them lots. Several of the regulars at my range have them. Balance, grip, controlability in rapid fire - G19's just seem to work a lot better for me. Seems like a lot of people agree.
This debate is so tired. If all you have is $700 or whatever - you aren't going to be doing much shooting anyway, so yah, go ahead and buy a G17 and shoot it a few times. If you have the money, and you want a G19 - buy one.
A couple videos. This is a gun that originates from Questar. Good product.
