Is anyone else having good results with CCI quik-shok? I used a few boxes this past weekend on gophers. The segmented 32 grain bullet really does it's job!

I'd post a pic..but it's a bit graphic.

post the pic.. interesting to see the effect they have..

we shot a gopher with our new 17hmr for the first time today.. made quite a hole..
 
The quik-shok is reputed to be 1640 fps.

was that one shot? looks like a head shot, but then its blow its torso open too.. was it walking straight towards you?

we only had the one gopher show itself today on our field.. there was still a lot of snow until a few days ago.. hopefully once its all gone more will pop up..
 
Be careful out there, I heard from a friend of a friend that them gophers are changing their tactics. They are codenamed "Gopher Cavalry"
 
Quik shok is basically the most deadly 22 ammunition in any test I have seen on ballistic gel. It seems to fragment every time and it has a high velocity.
 
And in the field. Quik-show is by far the most consistently deadly and explosive 22lr round on gophers. Stingers are a somewhat distant second, followed by mini-mags and velocitors. Nothing else out there (federal bulk HP's, dynapoints, rem cyclone, etc) is even in the same league
 
i used them all last season for grouse and rabbit. amazing results and great accuracy.

On the most recent brick of quick shoks i bought the name has been changed to segmented HP and they sell sub sonic and hyper velocity. both are supposed to be just as explosive in varmints.

Definately worth the 65 bucks / brick.. but for that price I buy something else for every day plinking.

the subsonics look a good idea.. i like the low noise of subs, but usually went back to high velocity for animals to ensure a good solid penetration. but these look like the best of both worlds. low noise but still hard hitting..
 
I still have about half a brick from a few years ago. They wouldn't shot accurately out of my 10-22. Went back to yellowjackets.

I drove all the way to Sask last year for a gopher shoot.Alot of them is a understatement.I think we all need to do our part before they take over the planet and kill us all:DForget about Zombies:D
