anyone think they would buy a Canadian made M14 chasis system?

Whew its been a while but finally we're making more progress. I'm hoping to have some prototypes in the hands of testers this summer.

WOW a lot of work has been done on this lately. I ended going back to square one and building the M14 barreled action in CAD then building off of that. I really think you guys are gonna like this design. I am posting up a picture of the stock, there have been some changes but the basic idea remains the same. The drawings of the upper railed portion are coming along nicely as well but you're gonna have to wait to see that one  .

That's looking fantastic.

Is it way too early to get an idea of estimated weight behind the chassis system?

Thanks,
D.

Nope, the bare chasis is <2lbs. With a standard M4 stock and AK pistol grip you will be lighter then the standard USGI fully outfitted. The upper rail is a separate part. So you can use this chassis with you favorite scope mount, the Rauch Tactical AssaultRail System with your USGI stock or if all the stars align you can use them together giving you the power to fly like superman :D.

Allow me to volunteer. And my Wife.

Are you offering to trade your wife for the chance to test it? :D

JK

So far it looks like the weight of the complete system will be around 2lbs with a polymer chasis and 2.5 with an aluminum chasis. Plus the butstock and grip of your choice.

Her, no. pictures, sure. why not :D

However, for a free stock... anything is possible :p

and what price are we considering?
I know Thomas chimed in long ago saying it would be hard to be under 700$ IIRC

The chassis target price is $350 but I reserve the right to set the price based on actual shipping costs. That said $350 should be doable. We tried to take the best parts of the Sage, Troy and Vltor systems to make the chassis versatile and accurate.

The Upper rail system target price will be in the same ballpark as the Chassis.
