Is there anyone here who has a .22lr pistol or revolver and likes to shoot it, but doesn't like to admit it because it's not a 'manly' caliber?

The High Standard is usually the first thing to go into the pistol case before the 9mm/44/357 or what ever. Couple of mags of 22 to warm up, shoot the big stuff and then a few more mags of the little guys. I am not too big that I cannot laugh at myself for pulling a few rounds after shooting a "man's gun". Only hits count. Nobody ever won a competition by being the loudest.

My Ruger MkII always goes to the range with me. With the cost of ammo I ration my centrefire to a certain amount then shoot all the rimfire I want.

Almost everyone has a .22 and all happy with them. My Ruger Mark III 2245 is not a goto gun but still can kill sometime when I need.

.22 calibre Luv

The only people who are afraid to admit to enjoying shooting a .22 are those over-compensating for other 'inadequacies'.:D....22/45, single-six, Cooey single shot, 10/22.....:dancingbanana:

I just got back from the range today. I have no reloaded 9mm left. I've got two coffee cans full of empties to reload in my gun room. I'm definately getting a .22 handgun soon. Anyone who thinks it's a sissy gun can come over and reload for me.

I know what you mean. I bought a 22/45 for that very reason. I want to use it to work on different skills like shooting around barricades etc...:D

Much easier on the wallet.

I am new to handguns, my first gun was a mark II with a bull barrel, I just bought a 9mm Browning High Power, and I have a Ruger GP100 on order. I know I will be taking the mark II to the range every time,,,,,22 cheap.....9mm and 357/38 not so cheap....so its easy for me,,,,rounds down range = FUN,,,no matter the caliber...

I like to shoot .22lr handguns because they put holes in the paper just like anything else. They are inexpensive to shoot which is a definite bonus. If CCW was a reality in this country I would change over to center fire handguns, but at this stage there is no real reason to.

I have no problem admitting to shoot .22

I love it, for a rifle, when else can you unload a 30 round magazine in rapid fire mode.

.22's are awesome. Everyone should definitely own at least one good .22. Personally I have 3 (cooey 39, cz 452 varmint and a 22/45) and could easily see myself getting a 10/22 when more funds become available. Shoot more rounds through them than anything else by a long ways.

.22rl keeps me shooting, very cheap, very good. Not impressed with big guns at $1 or so a round, I can fill both my Mags and 1 in the chamber and still not approach $1. YES .22 is good. I don't hunt and have not joined a shooting discipline club yet so shooting .22 is just fine for now. Now just afford me a Colt M4 in .22lr, all it will take is 2 car payments ... damn car.

Well this is not what we've come to expect as a KDX-post. What's up?
