Update on these items that I have been getting PM's on. If the mods have concerns about these info threads, please let me know. Just trying to get out market info based on questions I receive.
TIMNEY TRIGGER GROUP:
Still no word on the Timney 10/22 trigger group. My dist has zero feedback from timney on this item which is strange given the fanfare at SHOT. If anyone sees these instock (lots advertise) at a US mail order website, please let me know cause it sounds like the product doesn't even exist anymore.
I can only hope that the US silliness just has Timney so far behind, new products have been shelved for the short term.
PROMAG ARCHANGLE KITS:
Promag Archangle 10/22 delux kits are now available in limited supply. I will bring one up on my upcoming shipment to give it a review and testing. If anyone else would like a kit, please PM me for pricing details. Will offer a 'BETA' discount - FREE SHIPPING.
They look great in pics and promag tends to offer really well made items - mags, bases, rails, rings. But......
10/22 HICAP MAGS:
Tactical Innovation mags continue to be unobtanium. They are so behind on US orders there is simply no interest in doing anything else. Plus I think many smaller operators are waiting to see if the Dems drop any bombshells on export of 'nasty' items.
On a limited basis, I am getting Butler Creek Steel lips, Promag 32rds w/ steel lips and their 50rds drums. At this time, the only restriction is supply. I have a few unsold items on my shipment arriving in a couple of weeks for those interested. PM only as I will not answer sales questions here - not allowed me thinks.
The promag drums have been improved and loading is WAAAAAYYYY easier. The material used is tough fiber reinforced injection plastic (same as the polymer TI mags). This is not the simple injection plastic common to all the banana mags. They look like you could put a truck on them. There is a whack out there now so look forward to hearing some feedback on how they are working.
For the near term, the supply of mags seems positive but I will only bring in products based on your requests so if you want some, please let me know by PM. Also, on pricing, my goal is to offer products as inexpensively as possible. If you see similar items offered for much less, please let me know. Competition is the only leverage I have with my dist. They are certainly not shy about asking for an inflated price in this market.
Please don't use a US based store for pricing reference. I face a different price point and the costs of importation. Also, saying some store will sell the Canada without hassle would be against forum rules as mags are most certainly a controlled product.
CANADIAN MAG PRODUCT:
There is a chance that I will be working with a CANADIAN machine shop to produce an alloy mag for the 10/22. We are only at the give me a call to talk about it stage so please no PM's asking for delivery dates, pricing, etc. I simply have no info.
BUT the interest is there and I will be working towards seeing if something like this is possible. to say there are alot of hurdles is an understatement. If TI can't sell to us, maybe we can make something similar domestically.
10/22 CHASSIS and Barrels:
With the concept of making mags, we are also thinking about stocks, barrels and chassis. Examples like the Krinker'ish or other look like something chassis, short barrels, muzzle toys, etc are being discussed.
Suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated. There is so much else outthere to dream up and enjoy.
From a production standpoint, our biggest hurdle is to see if small volume production at a decent cost makes sense economically.
I continue to look for new and promising products to offer. IF you see stuff that has appeal, I would be happy to hear about it and maybe offer for sale. Big hassle to set up anything with a US manf today so one offs, simply don't make economic sense.
But you just never know....
