Is there any reason to own more than 8?

Assuming of course no zombie outbreak or alien invasions?

I'm trying to figure out if i need more than 8 glock 17 mags for anything besides the fact that I like the way they all look fully loaded. It's not like there's room for many more on the firing line.

I have about 5 for my P30-L,...14 for my tanfoglio 9mm,...7 for my tanfoglio .40.

I have around 30-35 standard blue 7 rd mags for my 1911's .... I find them cheap at gunshows ( well .... used to .. :( ) pick 'em up for $5-$10 each it's not hard to amass a collection in no time. That's in addition to the half dozen B/N stainless 7 rd'ers and 2 Chip 10 rounders .. :D

....... bottom line ... you can never have too many.

This is almost scary....
I was just thinking how many mags I should have for my Browning HP! I figured 5x 10rounders is about right since 9mm is usually sold in a 50 round ammo box.
Does anyone know if a list of aftermarket mags exist? I'm sure there are others wondering which mags are best for their semis.
(Sorry for the hi-jack)

i have mine figured out to a full box of ammo- hence since the stupid 10 only law came in you have to carry more mags, that means more pouches, and all that weight tends to pull the pants down- so it's 8 for the 45's plus a bunch of spares, 5 for the beretta, and the rest i haven't got any more than what came with the gun

I have 5 for my glock, I also got a speed loader which kinda somewhat cuts down on the need for more....notwithstanding a SHTF scenario.

Had eight for my 410S but I had to get rid of it when I came here. I think five's a good minimum number to keep handy but you could never have too many.

7 , 7round mags for my 1911 in 45. that's 49+1 for ipsc . more than enough. dont need more than 2 mags for any of my other guns. reloading every 2 clip makes a day at the range last a little longer. .
