I would say taking the wrap off took $200 off the value.
But if you don't take the wrap off, how do you know what you really have inside the wrapping? Catch 22, isn't it?

When it was on the way to me I started having second thoughts about opening it but a half sack and a reality check fixed that! No point having anything if you can't use it.Yes, it's one of those things that burns me. Do I? No, do I?, No.....
I like them alot.

I would rather have a beautiful firearm than some old greasy paper.
I personally don't put a lot of stock in the $$ value of my firearms,I buy them to shoot and enjoy. The real value comes from hearing the stories that people want to tell me when they see this No.4.Like the first deer they took with a sported No.1 or the old gent that lugged a Bren gun from one end of Italy to the other, now thats an investment! Priceless.Yeah, I personnally stay away from these safe queens. They are investments? sure, likely. But torture at the same time. So I rather stick to ones that I can shoot without making their value go down.
But that's quite a beautiful rifle!!!
The wood on yours is incredible, mine wasn't nearly as nice. Mine looked nice and the metal looked great but the wood looked a little used. Any thoughts?
