I recently took my retirement of the CF reserves (16 years in the infantry)...
Now I need to purchase a set of BDU's and tac vest. Still have some personal CADPAT stuff (ex: nuke bag), but not much.
So I was wondering what to put on for this years service rifle matches at Connaught ?
My initially impulse would be to get again a set of CADPAT ('cause i find it practical for hunting in Quebec), but i'm afraid to look a bit stupid on the range besides the active mil guys.
Any suggestions ? What's the latest fashion for civies doing SR ?
 
well i always got a kick out of one shooter wearing old work dress .........and this it was funny when kicked ass ..............then another esteemed member who always wears shorts ............who also kicks ass............my point ........its how you shoot , and if you have the old webbing ........its good to go for shooting SR
 
I have no idea - but I got a pair of Railrider pants off Oneshot which is awesome.

I have been trying to wear jeans at the range - and I have ripped two pairs already so that's a no go.

LOL, yes I still have my old work dress... that could be quite funny :p
 
I wear the 5.11 pants with the knee pads in them. Even on the nice cushioned lawn of Chilliwack, my old knees can use all the help they can get.

It's gotta be the private contractor look. Think 5.11, TAD stealth coat, morale patches, hiking boot style footwear (magnum, danner, etc). Paraclete or HSGI baseball hat, hatch gloves, expensive folder knife, etc. :p

That look is sooo 2005...glad we don't have to worry about it anymore eh BC_GUY...just wear what work gave ya??. If I had to vote thought I would go ARID MARPAT...:jerkit:
