I have like two sets of clothes for the range. My old "OD's" and some new "Arid pattern" stuff. I like 'em better than jeans and a t-shirt simply because they have lots of pockets!! Also, I don't give a #### if they get dirty or beat up. That's why I have them.

Just my 2 cents.

You are evil when it comes to MOLLE. However its too adjustable and I seem to change things around every time I use it. I even find myself going back to a previous set up only to change it again. :redface:

I think this will be what I'll be using next year. Since I'll be loading from single rounds anyways:

Seriously, I just wear Costco pants with the BDU pockets, a black T-shirt with Warm longJohn top and Fleece jacket, and a bush cap type hat (safari style). Oakley M-Frame glasses, Wiley-X CAG gloves and hicking boots.

My vest is a TT 2 piece MAV with TT pockets.

some tru-spec pants(tan or marpat), skate shoes, ALICE type webbing. very original. :D I'll be need a better rig tho, the alice clips tend to ride over my pants belt and bring the webbing too high and push my pants down...
 
Okay...all joking aside. I have been competing in Service rifle of 9 years...and I have never worn any kind of webbing...two weeks ago at Vokes, I did not wear any load bearing gear. Am I missing something here...aside from the Mil/SWAT types, why do we need lead bearing gear to carry 2 or 3 magazines?.

I got all that kind of stuff in a back pack. :)

How I figured it looking at my MOLLE and my LC-1 (ALICE), and P37 that the P37 would work best considering I need to hold 10 rounds to load the magazine once the match starts due to using a non-detachable magazine rifle. Really 2 stripper clips I can pull rounds from in a pocket would work too. But everyone seems to use military webbing, so figured why not. :)

I should note, my IFAK is on the back pack due to it being the only "gear" I'll normally carry in the bush. However on the range I'd have to add that pouch to my belt as well. A IFAK is useless if its not on you when you need it. :)

most of it, minus the flipflops, pistol mags and rule book :D I was fluffing the post with that stuff .

It's not that much really, I try to keep a somewhat realistic webbing kit, like they say 'train as you shoot...'.
I also have a 3 day pack with rain gear, ammo, cleaning kit, multi-tool, that stays on the shooting mound.
The thing is that when your done your shooting stage, you typically head right out to the butts, no time to start screwing around with gear. So snacks and water is nice to have.

Might feel weird but if you load it as its meant to be its easy to get used to. :)

If you look at pictures of the field gear don't let the pants fool you, they go up to your belly button as well. Look at the elbow and the belt how they are at the same level. Now take your hand and bend it at the elbow 90* to point forward while your upper arm is parallel and close to your body. If you move your hand towards the other side you'll notice your lower arm passes the belly button.

Depending on how big your gut is your hand may end up landing on your belly button instead. :redface:

Becasue we don't drive to the firing point - we carry our stuff and walk to the firing point!:p

Load bearing gear helps a lot in organizing "stuff" and increases efficiency-much easier to keep track of kits.

I dont know why people carry only 3 mags - I bring 5 mags. There is no time to #### around. Hungry and the crews run things fast - they don't move at "leisure" speed like the rest of the ORA. We get off the firing point and hurry down to the butt. If you don't have your load bearing gear, you could easily forget water and gum down at the butt in a hurry.

People who are packing, unpacking....and having their stuff scattered around cut into my lunch time....:p
