I've had one for a few years. It was actually my very first firearm purchase. Same set-up then as now. I found the rifle as/more accurate than I can shoot ( nice to have a learning curve where you know any fault is more likely with yourself than your equipment

). The Pelican case is of course top notch; the Harris Bipod is a good height for shooting prone, but not high enough for use while sitting upright as some may do. The Leupold VX-III 3.5-10 X 40 is very clear and easily up to the task out to 200 yards, likely more ( 200 yards being all I've shot to at this point). The strap included with it is kind of silly, its a very narrow strap and combine that with a heavy rifle .... its not a joy to carry. Not that hunting is a primary use for a 700P, but I did drag it out when I first started hunting with a buddy, as it was all I had to bring.
The rifle is very accurate, I easily achieved 1 ragged-hole groups at 100 right off the bat once I'd dialed in the scope, which was bore-sighted quite reasonably at the factory. 200 yard groups fell around an inch or under. Break-in I used Federal blue box for about 80 rounds, then switched to Hornady 168 Match moly ammunition. I wound up strapping a Leupold Mark 4 Tactical 6.5-20 x 50 on it and have only had it out twice since. Lots of other firearms to shoot, a new house build and most importantly my infant son get priority on my time lately.
Looking at my 2008 Wholesale Sports catalog, they list the package at 2899.95, but thats likely a long gone price by now. You could phone them and ask, their item # is 223975. The same catalog has the R-15's on the next page at $999.95, and those are up another $350 most places I've seen.
I've moved it's original VX-III over onto a .270 WSM Winchester Model 70 that I have.
I may be interested in parting with mine, but I have to mull over the optics situation. I'm hedging on which scope to include with it. If you are interested which scope would you prefer? I gotta dig through my reciept pile on the Mark 4.
