Rem 700 XCR (stainless, TriNyte) in 300RUM topped with a Leupold VX-L 4.5x14x56mm.
Used 180 gr SwiftScirocco cartidges (polymer tipped) 4200+ ft/lbs and 3250 fps (muzzle).
Still impacts at 500 yds with 2100+ ft/lbs and 2300+ fps.

rem 30-06, 180gr, remington core lokt, topped with a VX-2.
cheap bullets, boring cartridge, 1 shot, 1 big bull moose on the ground.
x2 although I use a Mossburg ATR and it was a cow, but anyway....I didn't hunt moose last year, so if I go this year, I'll probably take my good ol' 300WSM with 150gr TTSX bullets.
Or I might take my 375 Ruger with 235gr TSX or 300gr Accubond bullets. Both nice rifles.
It's fun to try out different rifles and cartridges, although just about anything from a 30-30 to a .600 Nitro will kill a moose without too much trouble!![]()
