EESA Grand Tournament 3 gun match

I was joking with the wife and a few others yesterday, that I should get a Segway to travel from range to range, and make things easier....The wife looked around and replies..."You may want an Argo instead."....

had no problem with that plate, its those bigger paper targets that give me troubls at the 100yrd line.

That was actually a very well designed stage...

People were so focussed on the plates that they forgot that you have to aim at 100meter off hand shots at those "huge" paper targets...:redface:

Kudos to ALL of you. I'ts quite amazing to think how much effort you guys put in on execution and planning on these events.
Of course, in the case of the worm, conspiring is probably a better choice of words. By my rather conservative estimate, I walked about 6km yesterday just doing patching. You guys must have done 10, and run at least 1K.
ON the format:
Personally, I think it is a great idea. How else would you cram that much fun into one day? And making it a 3-day weekend event would leave everyone exhausted - can't wait until the shotgun match - another first for me. Looking forward to the posting of the scores to see how many miles of improvement I can practice on.

Yes there certainly is plenty of walking in Rifle matches that is certain.

I just wish there was another way to do it............that much is certain.

Just think the worst is out of the way. Shotgun is relatively closer range.

Off hand at 100 definitely requires more practice, but I'm satisfied with my first attempt at running with a rifle considering I would never run with scissors :D
 
I think that from now on when people post here asking what gun to use for IPSC rifle we should just post this picture.

Update for Shotgun match

We have 8 stages of shooting fun


Birdshot 66 rounds
Slugs 24 rounds (unless we do double slugs on paper)


Total of 90 rounds.

29th is for workers only. We set up the stages and then shoot what we can before dark.

The "regular" competitors shoot on the 30th.

The workers then finish off what we can on the 30th and the morning of the 31st (hope not) then tear down the stages.


I will open the registration now as those who preregistered at the rifle match are already loaded.
