Rob according to Vince Pinto it is. Rule just says you don't have to have it in, doesn't say how you removed it.

IDPA requires it to remain in the gun. If you have the version without the mag disconnect the slide will be marked as such. No M&P's were imported into Canada without the warning label on the side of the M&P. This has been confirmed by S&W.

Dragoon gave me this load for downloading the .40cal. 2.8 gr of Titegroup under 180 gr lead bullets gives me 130ish PF out of my Tanfoglio. Very soft shooting. You may need a lighter recoil spring in the S&W M&P if you have cycling problems.

Wow, that is light.

I've run lots of Zero 180g JHP's at an OAL of 1.135in with 3.5g of TiteGroup. It usually would chrono toward 140pf, but felt like cheating.

I ran it in a Glock 35 with a stock recoil rod and spring. I would get the occasional failure to feed on the very last round in the magazine (with no other round under it to help position it for feeding). Always just the last round.

Brass would eject just a few feet and slightly forward (meaning the brass wasn't quite clear when the slide would start to close).


I loved shooting 40 for 10 round Minor (Production, Steel Challenge, whatever)

With 180 gr lead bullets the load makes minor PF with room to spare. Very soft shooting. As soft as the 9MM with bigger holes.. I use it in Production and IDPA ESP when I shoot the .40cal top end on my Tanfoglio.
