If price is an issue, a Norinco Jw-103 bush ranger would be a decent rifle.
The CZ527 in 7.62x39mm seems to be a good rifle. With surplus Norinco ammo I can shoot 2-2.5MOA all day long. With handloads one can shrink that down to 1MOA and less. The 7.62x39mm round gets a bad rap for accuracy because everyone is pumping it through 4-6MOA rifles...
Ar15 upper in 7.62x39mm, hard to find but I've seen one so far.

Every once in a while a Valmet comes up on the EE in this caliber...for five or six grand.
And worth every penny.
From a sellers point of view.
haha you had me riled up when i read the first part, and giggling like a little girl at the second.
i dont know why anyone would want to pay that ammount for the pig of a gun that is the Valmet.
people here struggle to sell them for $1500-$2000 ..
thats like $800-$1000 for you fellas
