Glock = suck

I bought my first Glock about a month ago, a Glock 30 from Questar. It's one of those sub-compact pistols with the longer barrel for Canada, I went with the ported one.

Today a friend and I went out and did some shooting with it. I am thoroughly unimpressed. The pistol likes to eject the rounds onto your head, if not in your face.

LOL You just told everyone you have "LIMP WRISTS" !!! Its a common problem for beginners or those with a weaker wrist and can not hold the gun straight after it goes off.

Try a different hold, like a Higher grip more in line with the barrell, if not, ask the guy next to you (who look strong) and i bet it goes to the right like it should.

Sorry, But i am gonna call this poor performance " user error" :D:D

Maybe if all else fails, you do have a faulty ejector or certain parts, then drop it off at your local Glock Armorer for a check up and inspection. Thats what Warranties are for :)

Well, if you can't shoot the thing, sell it to me, and get yourself some wrist workout help and another handgun that isn't endorsed and carried by the majority of the respected worlds police forces.

had a g17 and thought it was great however moved up to the 31 c and since stopped shooting the 17c sold it now hate not having it dang never should have sold it

Lets wait for a real gun Guru who already owns 56 Glocks and getting one more tomorrow and he will share his invaluable Glock experience with us (practice, patience and practice again) and he can shoot Glock and everything else well… shooting the Glock is not for everyone… it’s a privilege.. and the rest of us who have problem with Glock are retards…. who limp wristing ...and so on.. and yeah.. don't forget to blame it on ammo....

Glocks.... They're not for everyone.... :p

HAR, HAR, HAR. Also the slide lock is for "LOCKING OPEN THE SLIDE!!!" Not for releasing it when you do a mag change. That is why it is small and hard to manipulate.

I am going to PM TDC. I will summon the thread killer!!!!

That is a whole lot of BS! If that was indeed the case, then why not just do it like on a Walther PPK, an internal slide stop withouth the utterly ugly and wobbly external slide stop lever? If you can't use it from the outside, why have the lever there?

I can't beleive people have the nerve to speak poorly of the world's best pistol. Equally amazing is why other companies even bother to make a pistol when all you need is a Glock. They are so perfect that the sun always shines and flowers bloom whenever they are taken out of a gun case.:jerkit:

In all reality I tried them (several of them) and I can say that I am not a fan. Are they reliable? Sure but no more so than anyone else's. Yea... a lot of police forces have them so what? What's the point of having a handgun the error-net deems as uber reliable when you can't stand shooting the godd@mn thing?

A lot of people bought Yugo's, Lada's and K-cars too but that doesn't mean I have to have one. My $0.02 is that they are over-rated and you can do better if you are willing to stay of the band wagon and form your own opinion.

With regards to the original post... find out if you do have any grip / technique issues. Have your friends try it and see if they report the same. Heaven forbid you have the only imperfect Glock on the planet.

Regards,

No its not. It is so you can put the pistol into slide lock manually without having to be out of ammunition or mag out. It gives the operator manual options without a more complicated internal system. This can be used to make safe/show clear or as part of a malfunction drill. Simple is good.

Who the heck cares if the slide lock is "utterly ugly" aesthetics is irrelevant and completely personal. We are not talking shoes here.

I am not going to get into a flame war over slide lock or no slide lock usage for re-loads. That has been beaten to death and people can make up their own mind.

Check out the various shooting schools in the US and make an informed decision.

Anything as successful as the Glock is bound to be somewhat over-rated. It's human nature.

I think Glocks may be the best handguns for most applications for most users, which would explain their popularity with police forces. But they can't be always the best choice for everything for everyone. Certainly there are other very good handguns being made and, as you say, if you will stay off the bandwagon and think for yourself you may discover that at least for some purposes one of those others may be the best for you.

:agree:

That is a great summation!
