Glock = suck

Just like anything else everybody has their likes and dislikes.
I've got 4 different 1911s of various makes all 45s, but I still prefer my Glock for all around dependability and function... :)

gotta ask yourself why the glock bashing threads come up so often...you dont see sig, hk, beretta, s&w...etc bashing threads...methinks there is a reason behind it

They are beautiful indeed! 6 glocks for the price of one though.
And so are the baers, nighthawks, and other customs...

+1. Buy and run what you can afford what you are comfortable with. Personally, I prefer the XD to the Glock for cheap polycrap pistols, but both were very reliable.

I still prefer a high-quality 1911 to all other platforms, bar none. But, that's me.

...I'm not allowed to use it to fight off Nazi's in some pre existing WWII wet dream relived through my friends. ...

Actually, they were not friends, they were relatives. And no, they didn't fight Nazis, although I'm sure their 1911s would have been just as efficient and reliable, if they had used them against Nazis. And their experiences were real, whether you like it or not. ;)

Very good point..I don't think there's that to many more Glocks outhere vs all the rest. Likely because they're overated.

In one of the other threads here I posted a link to a article about how there are several MILLION glocks in service. I don't there is any other weapon close to that other than the AK.

Other thread here says more soldiers injured themselves with the 1911 than had confirmed enemy kills with the sidearm IIRC.

I'm sure there's more than a million 1911's & SIG's outhere as well.

"glock leg!" jfgi.

You know,I'd bet that there's not a handgun out there that some Idiot could not find a way to shoot himself with,as in a ND, for you to make that statement speaks volumes of your lack of experience,

Why in heaven's name would anybody consider a gun, which can so easily malfunction, to be a good gun? I mean, if this gun was designed to be used in battle, shouldn't it work every time even if you can't hold it like Hulk would? I'd love to see how many of these manly men Glock junkies would still be holding their glocks in such a manly manner, if they were wounded and had to fight it out shooting weak handed. Ridiculous!

A good gun shouldn't be so sensitive to how it is held, especially if it's a fighting gun. And if it is, it certainly isn't anywhere near "perfect".

Here's a little test for you (see the videos below); which handgun would you choose to get into a fight? I'd take old warhorse every time myself, but that is just me. Maybe I'm just too prejudiced from having grown up with people who actually did use their sidearms in real battle, not just people who watched their Tupperware Queens being portrayed in movies where their imaginary virtues have been extolled ad nauseum.

Perfection alright! :jerkit:

Yeah. I'm going to take pistol quality advice who doesn't understand hot-linking rules.

Huh?

I am referencing some research that was posted here IIRC, and you are saying what?

glocks are cheap and easy to use. reliable enough and easy to learn to use. Glock gives deals to LE agencies,...that is why ($$$) they are seen so much as a duty gun. Thank god agencies around here took the users and advice from within the ranks to pick duty weapons. (Beretta,..Sig,..HK,.S&W)...

This thread makes no sense.

Ha,ha,ha.:agree:

This thread is the "Groundhog Day" of threads. I love GLOCK, I hate GLOCK with the same people on the same sides. Every one is entitled to an OPINION, but those who take anything written on an internet site and swallow it without reflection are fools.

Take professional training; do some research and make up your own damn mind.

Larry Vickers or James Yeager would crush any one here with a TT33 let alone any of the pistols that you guys say is the best or say is sh*t.

It is their training and tactics that make them superior shooters not the GEAR . Focus on gear is an easy excuse and compensation for poor SKILL.
