so lame

Actually, they were not friends, they were relatives. And no, they didn't fight Nazis, although I'm sure their 1911s would have been just as efficient and reliable, if they had used them against Nazis. And their experiences were real, whether you like it or not. ;)
(kwa kwa, my dad was a csm in some obscure regiment in some obscure peacekeeping op, and he says that the Webley.....blablabla)
What about your experiences chump? How is hyping up the experiences of others any different than watching a movie with 'tupperware handguns'
you're a wannabe, just like everyone else

I agree that how you and the gun fit together is a big consideration. I had a 19 for years; it shot fine, was reliable, and aside from one spring replacement I had no issues with it. The thing was that after several years I still wasn't sure if I really liked it or not; it just didn't feel right in my hand.

Finally, I traded it for a Sig 225 last year, which was an excellent trade for me as the Sig fits like a glove, but I still can't shake the feeling that I would like the 19 back. I really don't know why.

I'm not normally a fence sitter but I guess that in addition to the love/hate Glock thing that people have going on there is a category of "not sure".

Lots of police forces and federal agencies use Ford Crown Vic. Why don't you go buy one :p

If they can put a Duramax diesel in it and rig it to tow 15,000 lbs and take the Ford emblems off it, I would.

Actually I wouldn't. It would still be a Ford.

Bottom line in mind, the Glock is a reliable gun. Seems to be accurate too. When bad things happen, thats what you want.

And I thank God almighty somebody as knowledgeable as you is there to let me know. Thanks your highness! Unfortunately your statement doesn't make Glocks any better. :dancingbanana:

i doni't own a Glock , but after shooting one a few times , i never would !!..if i wanted to own a pistol made of tupperware, it'd defiantely be an M&P40 !!LOL

I actually liked the M&P40 quite a bit. Good ergonomics, comfortable grip, acceptable trigger and accurate enough. A little snappier than I'd like but I too would buy one, if I was in the market for a plastic gun and couldn't afford an HK.

I'am saying that for you to post such a questionable statement about the 1911, shows a lack of hands on experience of the subject by you.

Or maybe your recall is incorrect.

Brilliance! I was referencing an article. You attack my experience? Good thing the post had nothing to do with my experience!

It is called a "reference to authority" for the less edumacated.

Of course I have a lack of hands on experience in WW2.

Do you have a ton of experience with regards to training and injuries with firearms? Do tell.

In ww2... Even better.

Also question your hands on experience with the 1911 or is it all just stuff you've read on the "Internet"?

I was careful with my English, what part were you having trouble to comprehendo, friendo?

"lack of hands on experience of the subject by YOU"

Fail.

Thank you for the feedback, but once again, you are offering up what in return? You have added nothing to the conversation but criticism with no data.

Next.
