Do you like your OUTLAW ?

Yes I liked my outlaw.

I did sell it though for a gun that I like less. A 870 with an 8 shot extension. I liked the outlaw but it is not an adequate set up for 3 gun.

Here is a thread on the subject. In case you don't want to slog through the 278, sometimes nasty, sometimes informative, almost always entertaining posts ;), the approval results of the poll were:

Dominion Arms Outlaw Owners ONLY poll-Apr. 4 Tally results: YES 88.5% NO 11.5% based on 26 voters who posted proof of ownership.

I like mine. My range report is post #109.

We cover the shipping for warranty work, or just write RTS on the box and mail it back. As for the hand guards, only 2 people have contacted us out of the large number sold, so as these things go, we are quite happy with the quality of the guns. It looks like it will be a simple fix for those that are having HG problems.

What about the fact that the bead is about 1/4"-3/8" low?

It would have been nice if the guns had a higher front bead right from the factory....

I will eventually buy a pedestal base to raise the bead up and soder it to the barrel but maybe you could contact the crew in China and let them know that the bead as is sucks.

(I've got the backpacker)

I love it! The quality, and fit and finish was much better than I expected for the price. It locks up nice and tight, no problems there. It's a little stiff to open, but that's getting smoother with use. Overall I'm very happy with it.

:D

Fired my Outlaw at 10 yards with WW 1 oz. rifled slugs.

The recoil was mild compared to what I expected but now my eardrums are only 1/2" apart inside my skull.

Needless to say the earplugs went in after the first 2 shot volley.

The 6 slugs from 3 volleys impacted about 3" from each other and were a foot above and 6" to the left of the point of aim sighted along the rib between the two barrels.

No problems with functionality.......nothing fell off....... nothing was loose.....extraction was effortless.

Next time out I'll pattern it with 000 buck.

Has anyone here actually put a couple of hundred rounds through one?

Curious how they stand up.

I've put about 300 trap loads, and a few boxes of buck and slugs. No problems. Of course, for a shotgun, longevity should more appropriately be measured in at least the thousands of rounds. I doubt anyone is using this particular gun as their main shooting gun, so that will take a while before we hear about long term longevity.

Care to back that up? Or are we allowed to falsely accuse a product of being dangerous now on this board?

made in china... I looked it up I think he is doing it more as a joke I was thinking of getting one then I though bah to cheap need something more blingy..

Can someone please inform me on the sight bead issue.

I don't get why a .25 inch difference on the bead is such a deal on a 20 yrd shooter.

I hunted with guys who had cooeys with no beads...

Did the cooey have a short barrel?

It seems to make a difference and personally I would rather just put the bead right on target then have to aim low although if your intention is to clip grouse in the head with the bottom of the spread then maybe the original sights are perfect!

Yes, good point. Has anyone tried shooting hand thrown clays with one of these yet?? :D

I just got my Outlaw in the mail! CanAm is awesome! Fast and super easy to deal with. Can't wait to take it out to the range tomorrow.

I honestly cannot find fault with it. In some ways i'd say the workmanship is on par with my 870 Express. I am very surprised with how heavy this is though.

the heavy weight makes it a pussycat with recoil

I've been shooting clays with it. Using Kent low velocity 2 3/4 shells. It works fine at Short range with very, very mild recoil. If I was to whip A clay way out there I would be difficult at best. I've also taken some gophers with it. Its nice because I can put it in my backpack and pull it out quickly for the close encounters and it is easy to carry around.

Cool. I used to shoot hand thrown clays with my 14 inch HP9, and it worked good out to about 30 yards.. after that.. sketchy at best. LOL Was wondering how one of these would do..
